If i cut my sponge vertically. where do i put the seed directly the middle and close it and put it in the plastic tube jawn?

Maybe a 1/4" below the top of the sponge. For me, it's better to germ it in a paper towel first so it doesn't fall thru your sponge. If you'll look in the AG booklet, it says to use a tiny drop of non-toxic glue to keep the seed in place if you germ in the AG. this is my set up.i got 4 100 watt daylight cfls. ill add more cfl's as i go along but for now this is good vor seedlings and beg veg.
