Advise: Mr. Ganja's Only

I am starting up again! YAY!!! Only this time my space is VERY limited in height. The maximum distance from the floor to my light is 4'. What hydro system would you recommend?!? Obviously it needs to be as low profile as possible. please advise.

there is no love because you said mr. ganjas only so right off the bat you have eliminated a lot of possibilities on who is going to respond and you are a stranger...you should have asked people with experience in the situation as mr. ganjas probably have a lot of full blown grows and are not too worried about growing within 4 feet. At the same time this seems like a question you can answer for yourself talking into account a few different factors and some research. Consider a few different systems and their height, consider the height of your light and the distance it has to be away from your plants, then consider the plants themselves and methods of growing to keep them short

^yep. Any method would be doable it's more about how you train the plants than the medium your gonna use. Your gonna want to keep them about 2 feet tall that leaves one foot from your light and one foot for your pot/reservoir.

bubbleponic. not a mr. ganja but thats what i would do. then scrog 12" inches above the screen. make them spread out. they will go past the screen a little bit. top them to get more colas but will be smaller. or you could lst but i dont know how well that works in bubbleponic. make your system. use a 12 gallon tub that is around a foot tall. if needed could be a lil shorter. and ya coming on here and only asking for mr. ganja advice is a little snide. anyone can help and doesnt have to be mr. ganja. most of them do big med grows and dont focus on small questions. plus they usually are the ones putting info up about their own techniques. im not saying all mr. ganjas but most. haha you shouldof just said only mods can post.

lol just gotta have no life like me or be here for a while. One thing that comes to mind though is your reservoir has to be below your medium if you expect a drainage system. So ebb and flow wouldn't be the best option. I think a drip emitter system would probably be your best bet but DWC would be a good option too.

Who did I think I am?!? I'm sorry I didn't mean to come across as snide. I apologize. My thought was, although flawed, I need to do this right the first time I don't have time to waste on trial and error.

Pipe Dream, I will visit the DWC threads and learn more but in general, it that method hard to do right? Thanks for your input.

I had the same situation at one time. I grew my plants in 12" DWC with airstone. I had 11 plants in one 15 gallon tote and any plant that got over 2' tall got LST'd down and away from the center. I tried a 450 watt light in there, but even with a 550 CFM vent fan the heat was just too much for the plants. So I ended up changing to CFls and 4' flouros. Despite the ghetto-ness of the set up I still had a decent yield.

By the way, DWC is fuckin easy its rediculous. I get much faster growth and any problems that arise from pH or nute burn are easily and immediately fixable.

Thanks Lo'Pan! After looking through the DWC threads and the info I got here I am definitely sold on doing my grow in DWC. I'm sooo freaking excited! LOL. If anyone reading this thread has a reason not to do DWC please post. ANYONE

haha its all good. but just because someone has a lot of posts does not make them an expert on growing or means they give good advice haha. anyways go with what you think you can do and what space will allow. another thing you might consider is getting auto flowering strains. they will stay smaller. or only vegging for a little while. there is a video on youtube where this guy vegged clones for two day then put them into flower. all of the plants stayed about 2 feet or less and had HUGE buds on them. ill see if i can find it.

he apparently yield a few o's a plant with the main cola being so big. one of the biggest cola's ive seen on any plant. and this one was 2 feet tall. the plant was mostly cola.
