Yes, I would like to know more about this. I am also vegging with 2; 23 watt soft/warm CFL's as Lithomonkey. My plant isn't growing too fast like the other people using hydroponics, but I know my plant is healthy

there is a slight diff in lumens output from your soft'whites to daylight cfl's. Im running 8 26w cfl's 2700K spectrum. its not so much the 200 lumens diff from soft and daylight. its the spectrum of the color. All plants tend to grow better with a blue tone of light, and fruit with red. for the most part me n 2 are using the same bulb. mine are rated @ 1750 lumens a piece for a total of 14,000 lumens with 8 8 day old seedlings. i have some pics posted in this section. you'll get the basic id of what im trying. goodluck and happy growing

O.K., I got the daylight ones, and I can definitely tell a difference in the light. I'm about to put more soil in to cover up the stem.

Ya, The Diff Is Not Always The Lumens But The Color Spec. Soft/warm Run 2700k (redish Color) The Daylight Run 6500k (blueish Color) The Diff. Specs Of Colors Make The Big Diff. When You Are Growing. Blue For Veg Is The Best And Red For Flower. Mh Bulbs Have A High Blueish Spec. Were Hps Have A High Redish Spec.

ok, i think this one is done. i got the right lights and everything but i obviously need to do some more research. thanks for the help everyone. here are some pics of what's left, and what's to come.

i found a cabinet in the dump, that's gonna work out perfectly.

too bad.. make sure disinfect that cabinet before using it because it might have bacteria in it and fungus crap.

Yeah, maybe in future you can use that cupboard. Wanna make the most of those lights? Buy Mylar £2.50 a metre and make light reflectors from coca cola cans. like this :

i did tht one time except with arizona cans cuase i had long cfls.

new pics

i went out of town so before i did i threw some nutes in with the water. when i came back...beautiful, but the tips are already turning

now i just need to replant it, wish me luck

haha, not a week old, about 3 weeks old, and it hasnt done shit.

so i put it on steroids for a week, it helped it a lot.

this is a battle.

Dude, if thats at three weeks i think you will be smoking by christmas of 2000 and NEVER. What you sing to grow(light wise). Sorry to be a bit harsh but getsome new lights CFLs are dead cheap these days. And even if its a 3 weeks dont nute that thing you are going to kill it.........

ok first of all if you nute that thing any more ur gonna fry it, second it wont start to flower until you put it into 12/12, you may see preflowers before then but i'd say that one is too young. also, more light, get a few more cfls and you should be set for veg. for flower cram as many as humanely possible into the space. good luck man.
