Desperate and newly diagnosed with RA here. Tried a pre-rolled that had a THC of .05% and CBD of over 12% but didn't observe any relief from pain. What should I try next?

Thanks for any suggestions, new to this.

Try topicals. I got something called "Canna Salve" from "Gramma's Bakedery" that works pretty well for me most of the time.

I don't get much good from smoking or vaping the high CBD strains, but my wife to use Dr. Feelgood for pain relief. Unfortunately I doubt any dispensary sells Dr. Feelgood. You would probably have to grow your own from seed. It's an autoflower and usually does not take up much space. However, it has lots of THC in it. It will get you loaded, unlike the strains that are bred to produce CBD.

1:1 tends to work better for pain. I got tmj use a 30:1 cbd/thc papa & barkley tincuture and smoke high thc cannabis since its hard to find cbd 1:1 strains worth paying for. Also supplement with edibles and homemade cannabis ointment from shake.

Can high THC options provide pain relief as well or only high CBD strains?
Totally subjective and personal opinion, but I think that they can, and maybe better than the strains that only have high CBD. If nothing else, it tends to disrupt your ability to focus attention on the pain.

I had throat cancer when I was a teenager and the radiation treatment made a mess of my ears. They were constantly draining nasty stuff through tubes the doctors put in my eardrums and I had to go to the hospital every week or so and the MDs would vacuum the stuff out of my ear canals. It was not comfortable. But if I was able to smoke some weed before I went in, I would be laughing while they did it. Doctors were a little worried that they were causing pain but I told them it was actually tickling me a bit.

Of course, if cannabis tends to make you paranoid, you might not want to use before any medical procedure that makes you nervous or tense.

So in my own opinion, which is not based on any real testing or scientific study, only observation. My wife's pain in her wrists seem to be relieved much more when there is some THC in it, combined with CBD. I think the media is hyping this CBD thing, so everyone thinks that it alone is a cure all. Ive been grown this Peach Puree CBD from THC seeds for my wife. Think it has 5 percent THC and 10 percent CBD. Works better than the stuff with close to 0 % THC.
