advice with cloning mother plants

I have 2 plants to use as mothers that came from a female bagseed plant.These 2 are 8 weeks old.20" & 22".Im trying to keep the size down.Can the top of the plant be cloned as well as lower areas? I have a bubbler cloner I built ready to accept cuttings and any suggestions would help.Thanks
