Advice from people with experience...

Soo i usually grow DWC/hydro 6-8 plants but the 5/6 week veg is taking too long and I want to cut it down

I'm looking into a SEA OF GREEN type of grow for my next run, I'll be getting clones of znapple fritter

I have a 8ft x 8ft grow space which I am planning to put 48 plants (3.8litre fabric pots) in coco/perlite with a drip feed, running advanced nutrients sensi grow/bloom A&B, with shogun katana roots, shogun zenzym and shogun sumo boost

I have 1 omega 630w LED, 1 omega 720w LED and a 220w LED = 1570w

Realistically what sort of numbers should I be hitting with this set up (space, medium and lights) ?

I have a good amount of experience in growing over the years averaging 7-9oz per plant in DWC and I know guessing yield is "about a pound" type of thing but just looking for info/advice from people who do the 2 week veg/sog style of growing....any help is appreciated

Think to maximise that area you'd want more plants, minimum for SOG is 1 per square foot, up to 4 per square foot.

Interested to know how this has turned out though?

Good memory @coreywebster I have definitely done some sogging, about 10 years of it straight.

@Bushbaby11 sounds like you’ve got a good space and a ok plan. There is lots of ways to do different grows. Personally I prefer flood and drain vs. drip systems because of the simplicity and lack of parts and things to clog or cause issues. You also don’t have to set up a feed line for every single plant, which in SOG having more plants is the goal. However drip can work great if you keep your lines clean and don’t mind hoses all over.

The plant count is one thing Corey mentioned that I would agree with. With only a 2 week veg period your plants won’t be huge, so you can probably put a lot more plants in then you are figuring.

I used to run 45ish plants in a 4x4 flood tray. I was on a perpetual cycle, so every 2ish weeks I would take clones off my mother plants. I would transplant the previous batch of clones into 6inch square pots, and I would put the 7-8 inch tall veg plants into the flower room. I was also harvesting 10-12 plants every 2ish weeks.

So with your space and pot size I think you should be running closer to 100 plants depending on how you space them. The whole point of SOG is to fit in as many small plants as possible. As of yet I have not seen another way of growing that can produce as much weed in as short of a period of time.
