I don't know where you live but even if you started with seeds, if you planted today (or next week if your serious and you do you due diligence) you would still pull a harvest. At least throw some free bagseed down so you can get the hand of growing.
I've heard some people will staple a $1 bill to a tree to test out their spot.
If it's missing where they return then there's too much foot traffic.
Generally you don't want to start with seed because there are a lot of critters that love seeds and fresh tender sprouts. Usually people grow out clones/seeds in their house for a few weeks and then transfer them to the grow plot.
Find out what kind of wildlife your gonna have to deal with. Deer, rabbit, moles, mice & voles, frog, birds and rogue pollen form hemp farms and other cannabis patches.
Unless it rains regularly where you lie your gonna need to figure out how your gonna water them. There are drill powered pumps and all kinds of nifty devices and tricks from digging tunnels and pits to collect water, to re-directing streams and using natural water resources and digging by riverbeds.
If your gonna try to pull something this year, it will be a venture of luck and learning. There is a lot of information to learn, so by next year you should be set.
Remember outdoor gardeners are more farmers than gardeners. They know the moon cycle, when the suns raises and sets everyday. When it's gonna rain, when it's gonna be really windy. You have to know the hunting schedules and seasons in your area. Also the planting season for your climate. You should have a general knowledge of soil. You should be healthy and willing to hike for miles to your patch and back. You have to have knowledge of security. How to keep from being robbed. Covering your tracks when you travel to or back from your plot.
What your asking us to explain is a books worth of information. I think you do need a book and to do some more research for sure. Get a guerrilla growing specific book.
