It's sad I'm thinking. As I glide across the waters at about 9:30 at night. So much adventure and no one to tell. I can't even talk to the one I love about it. Total secrecy is the only way I will be able to pull this amazing grow off. Even my best friend doesn't know. And it's lonely. It bothers me...
The pelicans are getting used to me. I can almost paddle past them now and they don't even fly away. It's like I have been accepted as part of the river. Part of the collection of animals that don't want people to know they are there. Part of the collection of animals that just want to be left alone. It's a strange thing to be in fear of being noticed by humans. When you finally understand it, you are somehow closer to them. We are like a kind of distant family.
I met a new friend on my way to the plants tonight. I named her Shitless. While walking through the tall grass and trying not to fall over dead trees in total darkness I came up to her. She was a female pheasant. Pheasants usually will not make a move unless you practically step right on them. I walked right up to her and she took off like a bat out of hell, and left me wishing I had an extra pare of shorts with me. My heart was racing a mile a minute. Not the worst animal to run into, but surprised me none the less...an understatement.
I am going to my location with one purpose in mind tonight. To take samples and sex them. I plan to find out which are males and which are females. I do this by cutting stems and placing them in the little six packs I got at wal-mart when you buy the Silvias. I just pull out the Silvias and place the stem in there instead. If you don't get those trays for FREE then you only pay 50 cents by mid summer. Wal-mart is desperate at that point. Once I have SIX plants I cut the trays into SIX individual trays and I put each tray in a 2 L pop bottle. I cut around the base 3/4 s the way but leave a little uncut so it acts as a hing to open and close the pop bottle. Then I simply insert the plant and tape the bottle shut. I place the plants in a tote with a SHOP LIGHT set for 18 off and six on to force flower. this way I know what plants will be male and female.
Oh. Also, make sure you LABEL your plants and then LABEL the samples so you know what is what.
My plants have been doing well. Very well. But I have done my research and this year I came prepared.
Here is the skinny on growing insane weed:
My mix
1. Superthrive
We all have our favorite. This one is mine. I know how to use it and I like it. It has worked very well for me as a plant hormone. Leaf structure is excellent and I look forward to some nice bud
2.
Miracle Grow ORGANIC
It's like bloodmeal and bone meal and a bunch of other things. Plants like it. I don't have a store here that sells the GOOD stuff so Miracle Grow Organic is great.
3. mix the following:
forth cup ammonia
shot of dish soap
teaspoon of nitrogen rich plant food
SuperThrive
Ash from any fire pit. two cups
shake well and pour on plant base.
I am using a weightgainer jug for my storage of water and mix. I prepare it right before I go to my location.
