im pretty sure i know what you did.

you tried to pull from your original RO res to lines that are attached to float valves on the 2 separate res.

imho, THAS where you fucked up at.

You are assuming gravity will be your friend at all times....and sure it will be....unless you get a tad higher than the original.

you should ran a 2-way or 3-way splitter from your RO filter system and hooked up from there.

secondly when fucking with water and heavy amounts....its best to use 'bulkhead' type fittings and then silicone them if need be

bulkhead fittings are screw tight and have a grommet to prevent leaks and such.

also, which type of silicone you used makes a difference

the purple tube plumbing goop is geigh

i only use Silicone II type caulking. premium shit and permanently waterproof

and the pipe dope with teflon is great too!!! i think great white?

btw im getting some pictures of my RO res for you to analyze if you have any questions

judging from your pics...i would start over and leave the brass alone

full shot of the RO res (all it is, is a 50 gallon Brute trashcan on a wheel dolly thas modded to my liking)

the float valve...if you look close enough you will see a squiggly line of water...that is coming from the float valve via the RO filter in my closet

of course the inter works. UV sterilizer, 2 ario 4 aerators and a pump that is hooked up to the hose of the bottom of the RO res. and of course the float valve

that Blue line is the 'treated' RO water coming from my RO filter plugged into the float valve

you see that white nut on the float valve? thas what i was talking about a 'bulkhead' type fitting. i just drilled a small hole, put in the float valve and put the nut on so it will prevent any leaks (of course it will never get that high because of how the float is set, but plan B is the uber way to combat leaks, etc etc)

the beige adapter is just a quick connect fitting

by 2way and 3way splitters

i mean these type of splitters: http://www.hydrologicsystems.com/content/view/83/130/

you would hook that up to your RO output of your filter and just run lines from the splitter to your 2 nute tanks or whichever you prefer. For additional safety, you can put inline turn valves to shut off just incase you dont want it on auto-top off. However float valves are pressure safe, pressure/force (what activates and deactivates the float) is hard to fool in situation like these
