From personal experience, I have FF grow big, bud candy, and overdrive. I guess you could say that I will be getting much of my N and P from the grow big while all my bloom stuff is advanced nutrients. If you are capable of understanding and utilizing all the advanced nutrients, that is the way to go. Fox farm is on the other hand, a great organic product, but on the simpler side of growing. Both will get you the wanted results, just a personal preference. If I had the money (after this grow is complete, I may) I am going to purchase every advanced nutrient I can get and devote a gallon jug to each so I can use them accordingly.

Since you said this is your first indoor grow, I would recommend keeping it simple and sticking with the FF trio. Can't really go wrong with those products if you follow their schedule. I am really excited to see how overdrive and bud candy work together. Bud candy is supposed to add a nice aroma, flavor, and help them utilize nutrients better to make the best buds. Overdrive pushes them to the limit in the last few weeks of flowering. If you have done a grow before, you would know that the last few weeks is where all the weight is put on the buds, so I felt as if overdrive will really increase yields at that point.

Both companies make great products, but it depends on what you are looking for. For my next grow, I will personally be looking into humboldt root juices, dutch masters foilar sprays, and advanced nutrients for grow and bloom. With that trifecta of awesomeness I can see myself yielding over 2 ounces of chronic per plant, but also each small bottle of these things cost $50...

I think MJ is making a good point as far as being able to handle all the seperate nutrient products. Below, I have posted my whole nute closet, and you will see I use a LOT of Adv Nutrients Organic Line, and will swear by it too. I've never seen such lush plants with no defeciencies and not a single nutrient burn on a single tip of my leaves. This is hard to achieve for a lot of people either 1) because they use synthetic nutrients at full strength and the quick release is simply too much, or 2) they have too many products and don't know how to build a proper nutrient spectrum and what the proper PPM levels should be at all phases of plant growth. If you can get this down or are atleast interested in learning how to do so for future success, then I say buy a wide variety of Adv Nutes and stick with it. They are amazing products made from amazing sources, and the only product line I've seen that on the back of every bottle has a 100% money back guarantee. Can't say I've been anything less of pleased & satisified with my success, especially with the organic line. Just make sure not to get too taken in by all the bloom products offered by any supplier. I just answered a forum where a guy bought everything off the shelf he could, from big bud & bud blood, to bud factor x, bud ignitor n other boosters. Yet he was forgetting essentials like Carbos, B vitamins, Humic Acid, Fulvic Acid (both acids will up your plant nutrient uptake effeciency dramatically), Cal-Mag, ... I can't stress how important it is to have a complete array of products and to feed them well from the start of veg. Don't just go buy bloom boosters and start over feeding your plants at flower. Burns (stunted growth/low yields) & bad taste (most likely hay-like smell & flavor) will be inevitable if you do! With where you're at, def goto the store and get some Bud Candy and consider an organic Bloom Tea, as well. The Final Phase can be used in soil as well as hydro and will help you flush at the end more than you can imagine! Good luck! =)

My Nutrient Closet:
-Adv Nutrients Organic Iguana Juice Grow
-Adv Nutrients Organic Grandma Enggy's Humic Acid
-Adv Nutrients Organic Grandma Enggy's Fulvic Acid
-Adv Nutrients Organic B Complex
-Adv Nutrients Organic Nirvana
-Adv Nutrients Organic MotherEarth Super Bloom Tea
-Adv Nutrients Organic Voodoo Juice
-Adv Nutrients Organic Bud Candy
-Adv Nutrients Organic Final Phase
-Tropical Organics Banana Extract
-Botanicare SWEET Organic Carbo (Berry, Grape, & Citrus flavors)
-Botanicare Organic Cal-Mag
-Botanicare Organic Silica Blast
-Roots Organic OregonISM XL Beneficial Bacteria w/ Yucca, Kelp, Alfalfa, & H-2
-Espoma Organic Garden Lime (Raises/Neutralizes PH to 7) & Organic Soil Acidifier (if PH ever gets too high which is rare with my water source)
-Lots of EcoSmart Organic Insecticide
-Just ordered some Adv Nutrients Kushie Kush, as well!

Some products seem expensive compared to other lines, but you will more than get your money back if you feed properly and don't get too excited about having so many products and burn the shit out of them... Moderation is key!
