Advanced Nutrients

I am wondering if anyone on here has used the AN 3 Part (MIcro, Grow, Bloom) and could answer a couple of questions. On the bottle it shows a recommended feeding schedule, but if you go to their web site the feeding schedule they show on their nutrient calculator is WAY WAY lower than the bottle says. Is this because the calculator has a full program, and that is the usage with ALL the products, or what. I am unsure, and want to know whether to use as directed on the bottle or as directed on their site. Thanks all!

I'm also using Advanced Nutr. with good success so far. I looked at that chart & generally did not follow it. I have a Sativa that is doing extrememly well being feed every fourth day and green as my outside grass!! Using Iguana Bloom & Nirvana Super Bloom. Sorry I can't be of more help, but it seems that if it feels right and looks right, do it. Best of Luck Bro.!!

On that feeding schedule is it for veg or bloom? I run the 2 part but with the 2 part you can choose light, light moderate, mod, mod heavy and heavy feeding schedules. That is for the Bloom for sure, but not Veg I don't think.. Overall watch your ppms for the age of your plants and the ph also.. Hope you find what you need..:peace:

3 part you can pick light feed, moderate etc on the caclulater too. but not for veg. but its quite light for veg any way. you should be ok to use the 3 part how they say on the calculater, but some of the additive i find they have them weay to hi, but the base feed is an ok calculation. i use it, and most of the line for the 3 part. but ive had to work out which ones i like and which ones i dont. gl dude

oh yeah... and i dont realy ever go much higher with the base feed then what its started on in the veg part of the calculater. its about 8-10ml to 10 liters, to start with, but i find thats plenty, i'll ony rise it abit,. you can work it out better with an ec pen

advance nut. sometimes changes the recommended nutrients schedule like in the case of the iguana grow and bloom

Important note: We have improved our formulation for IGUANA GROW AND BLOOM to help you increase your yields at a lower cost to you. The previous application rate was 15mL / L and has now been reformulated for 3.5mL / L. The nutrient calculator has been changed to reflect the reformulated application rate. Please check your bottle to determine which formula you have.
I will go with the one on the web page, and then experiment a little with the time and experience :blsmoke:

Thanks much spud, and rep to you. I thought that the bottle directions seemed high and I had some yellowing when I went full strength.....flushed with clearex and have gone back to using the reduced dose. Will start using the calculator when I go to flower, and since my veg nutes were high...I will do the heavy program. Kicking into 12/12 in two days. Thanks again all!

Platy,

You might want to use the "Lucas Formula". He has a technique that does away with the Grow and you just use micro and bloom.

Just finishing a run using the formula and I am very pleased with the results.

yeah alot of people are saying the Lucas Formula is better. like more stable on the ph. but advanced nutrients is pretty stable long as the water is correctly ph adjusted in the first place. and the results from the advanced nutrients 3 part, bigbud, carboload, sensizym ect can be great.

ive never used the Lucas Formula, and whould be interesting to see if its that much different. and you can always cut back on the amount of grow towards the end. it says on the bottle you dont have to stick to a 1.1.1 ratio. somtimes doing it 1.1.1 can be abit on the hi nitrogen towards the end.

I have used the 3 part through veg as described on the bottle, starting 1/4 to 1/2 to 3/4 to full strength, and although I have never had nute burn, I have always felt that overfeeding was an issue, and I have had some claw leaves. I feed three times a day for 15 mins......3x3 ebb& flow, 10 veg plants from seed....2 ice, 2 nl and 6 widow. I plan to switch to the calculators feed shcedule in flower (going 12/12/ tonight). As for pH...I use distilled water (pH 6.5/ppm 20) and when I add my food my pH drops to 5.6 and stays there for at least a week......I change res every 10 days and it is usually 5,8 to 6.0 by then with elevated ppms (unsure on ppms because all notes are on home computer). Since going RO water I have not had to use any ph up or down. Hope my budes come in as nice as the veg went.
Peace all!

just heard back from tech support at AN, and they said that if I am only using the 3 part by itself, then the directions on the bottle are what should be used (with reduced dosage for "certain sensitive plants") and the calculator is adjusted for the other additives.....they basically said to start with base ppm for nutes at usual strength then adjust for any add ins to maintain proper ppm....so basically I am just going to keep watching my ppm and rock with a dosage of my own choosing somewhere in between the calculator and the bottle....will post pics of my finished products.
Thanks and rep to you all!!!

i use AN (monkey juice, super earth tea, seaweed extract, carboload, and big bud) with water soluble fish emulsion, bone meal, and superthrive. the only beef i have with AN is that they changed their super earth tea. before, it had guanos and some other stuff that was awesome but now it doesnt and somehow its stronger. i emailed them to ask them why, but i never received a response. my plants are doing awesome and i hope they do well up to harvest. pics are 3 days old. the buds now have grown exponentially. right now the plant is 22 days old.

Yeah...I had this same issue. I just switched over to AN two weeks ago and I followed their feeding regimen exactly as it said w/ thier nutrient calculator. I ended up coming out w/ 350 ppm in each of my rez (I have 2). I believe the calculations for all of the additives are correct, however. I use the Sensi 2 Part sysytem, but I think the miscalculations on their website are pretty much the same for each base nute line (sensi, 3 part, con, iguana).

I was rather annoyed that the supposed premier nute company had such inaccurate formulas on its website.

the calculations for the additives are right?? what put a 100ml of scorpian to 10 liters of water... no way man. you have either got to 1/2 what they say or 1/4 for the additives. it ends up way to hi. and depending what system is beening used it can make a right mess at the dossage they state

neoruler, you say the calculations are right for the additives but.... have you tried the whole line in these 2 weeks that youve been using advanced nutrients?? i have used them since they very first came out here. which was about 3 years ago!

ive tried it myself, with all the additives, adzackly how they said, and it was messy. anyone else that ive seen use the whole line, have said the same thing. moan'd about this beening to strong.. that beening to strong. plus itis man. ive seen people say they wont use AN because it burns the hell out of there plants.

the base feed calculations with a few 1/2 strength additives will bring that ppm up to the right level. and thats half to what they state on the calculater. hell i only need to use 5 ml of each grow, micro, bloom to 10 liters of water. and half strength additives and my ppm is right up there. i test what strength itis with just base feed. and then test after adding each additive.

just my beans on AN lol. id never add a 100ml of any additive or feed to 10 liters of water

I am using Grow Micro bloom for my 4 week old vegging OG Kush. My tap water starts at about 350ppm, so my ending ppm with a few vitamin additives and root enhancer is about 1500 ppm with a 1000ppm nutes. When I switch to flowering I plan on adding sweet leaf, carbo load, and bug bud. Do I need to lower my regular nute levels when I add them. Is there a ppm cap I should not exceed?

Calm down fellas...

I am only using a couple of AN additives at this point (Voodoo and Liquid Carboload), and they seem to be working fine in the amounts recommended by the calculator. I have previously used Big Bud, Overdrive, Sweetleaf, and a few other bloom enhancers and will continue to...but YES, you have to be very careful with the bloom enhancers cuz' they will burn the fuxk out of your plants. I have never used their calculator before, but I figured I would give it a try. It certainly did not seem accurate and I guess ya'lls experience confirms it.

All I know is that for a 5 gallon reservoir their calculator tells me to put 26 ml of each Sensi Bloom A/B. And that came out to about 350 ppm in each reservoir. 1234567890
