Yea I am.
It was the most expensive thing I bought when I switched over to Cogo's. Couldn't see wasting it and was seeing what and how other were using it.

Um, Eee, Aaahhh. Well, As to your first line.....The source of the element can be real important! I like to avoid Urea forms of N, and Tend to like the Carbonate forms of Ca better. Then you have K......Oh boy, I like the K sulfate type, way better then any other form of K!

Now to move on.

It's been found that phosphoric acid use has a cumulative negative effect on the roots of plants....pH positive is way to be lazy. Shit, you can't test and adjust once a day?

Bar none, simplest grow style to get the best results. I learned this whilst spending time here! Old dogs do learn new tricks!

Grow in a tupor mix.
Dyna gro - Foliage Pro
OR even better
Jack's citrus for all the way through nutrients
Supplement K sulfate
Grow to the proper point and then harvest
Dry and cure properly!

Some of us really like playing with complex problems and and have learned to grow Organically by building our own water only (for the most part) soils. They cover differing strain growing traits and we never bother to pH anything - ever!

Oh you got that SOOOO right!

It gets no easier then 1/4 tsp of a single powder per gallon and boom done! Everything's in it!
Sup some K sulfate and increase trichs, terps and potency......Jars last well over a year, for well under 20 bucks..

I think it's the higher price means it's better - mentality..... WRONG!

NO SUCH THING AS CANNABIS SPECIFIC NUTRIENTS!

It does NOT deliver what you think in any real usable concentrations!
It should NEVER be used in hydro applications - PERIOD!.

I'm using budblood because it was so expensive. And I'm only using it because of a thread I read ::ballsack::

cogo's main page "Original cannabis formula" whether or not its another product from them, it targets the ignorant.

well i will say they look MUCH better than pics youve previously post(lack of fan leaves) im guessing it has a lot to do with not using unnecessary supplements.

but... toss that budblood on those and watch those petioles purple right up, as theyve already started.

you do see the irony in starting this thread then using/inquiring about the very brand you call a joke, no?

I think a very cool thing to do is start using the powdered soluble nutrients made by that comapny that is endorsed by harley smith.. called "Raw" nutreints.. You could fine tune a grow as they have packs of just nitrogen.. just fulvic/humic acid etc.

I have personally never used AN and never will .. I think the price is just dog shit. I have used 4 different nutrient companies.

Dyna-Gro... Fox Farm.. Jobes All Purpose.. And now on my current NYC Diesel autoflower grow I will be using the whole GO Box line (organic bottles by general hydroponics)


I liked dyna-gro and would reccomend it to anyone who is flat broke and wants to grow very good smoke dirt cheap. With dyna-gro 2 bottles that are 8 bucks a piece can take multiple plants to harvest.. All you need is Dyna-gro foliage pro and pro-tekt and if you want to spend 16 more bucks you could get dyna gro bloom and KLN.


I like this GO Box I bought.. hell you get 2 bigger bottles of the base nutrients and 6 additives (the whole line) for less than 50 bucks.

I only paid ,shipped 42$ .. thats $5.25 per bottle and in todays world that is a god damn steal for organic bottled nutrients.


With all that being said some of the best yields I ever got was using no nutrients at all.. All I did was take some dirt cheap organic potting soil and added cow manure compost (black kow) along with some perlite/vermiculite/bone meal/worm castings/dolomite lime/blood meal. I added that to soil then just gave a plant ph'd water and I got one of my heaviest plants ever by doing that.

Add the K sulfate first and stir. Use the whole amount of water needed at one time or "don't mix strong and thin it". Then add the other. It's the same as adding Silica to feeds or waters containing Ca.

But I thought you knew that already, didn't you? ;-) ;-)

The problem with those "RAW" nutrients. Is that they have "not so good" source materials, in certain roles. I want K sulfate, not K silicate or K nitrate (for example). I need particular forms of the elements that they don't supply...

I would never use Dyna Gro "bloom".....It's Foliage pro all the way to harvest.....Bloom has too much P!

i knew that about the Si because it can precipitate if added after the nutes.

i've never tried the K Sulf myself. i use epsom for my Mg which also gives me some extra Sulfur.

what is the theory for the extra K? when to add? what does it do? i've never noticed a K deficiency.

and you are correct about the DG Bloom. i tried it after the stretch on my last grow and didn't like the results. way too much P i thought and almost instantly yellowing.

K and Sulfur are so hard to over feed.....With that said. S will increase trich and terps. It even increases potency some - no shit!
The K will increase bud size and density.....FAR more then P......and don't forget. It will help express a plants coloring traits.

Most of these nutrient makers products you see on shelves. Are formulated for things other then cannabis. Others attempt it but, lay on the P way to heavy..... I said before that I feel that K is the most under utilized Macro nutrient. S would be the micro one!

Mg sulfate works. The formula I gave, and the feed charting I gave is safe but, you can overdo the Mg.
The K sulfate formula in the DIY section is safe too. I've been marveling at how both Terpinator and Resinator have changed their formula's since they came out....
 
I started with AN Connie in DWC, cost about $100/cycle for nutes, pulling at least 1lbs per run. With electric/etc about $300 per run. I set and forgot my res every 10 days. I was happy at 1 lbs /~$300. Still beat buying ozs@$300.

Are there cheaper options that are just as good, if not better? Yup, but it's still a bargain when you look at the returns.
