Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect with Pro-Mix

I use Pro-Mix HP. I'm thinking about switching to Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow & Bloom, but am unsure about its compatibility with Pro-Mix. From what I've read on the website, they claim that it keeps your pH around 5.5, which, as far as I know, is good for hydro but low for Pro-Mix. I could be wrong about that, but my plants seem to be at their best with the feed pH'd to 6.2 - 6.3.

Would using this product with Pro-Mix be counter-productive because of constantly low pH? Would adjusting pH after mixing the nutrients cause any types of issues, or would it be effective? Or would I be better off not using this line at all? Maybe someday I'll try hydro, but I'm not there yet. So for now, Pro-Mix is my medium.

Thanks in advance!

I've used it in a verm perlite mix with great results but not in promix, it should work fine. Try two containers with just the base nutes and see how it goes.

I don't know why they keep saying the ph stays right though, it doesn't stay at a certain level, the last time I checked ph four years ago it was 8 and the plants never missed a beat so I tossed the ph gear. What it does is makes the nutrients available at any ph so the ph doesn't matter. The base nutes and big bud will get you some nice results, price should be around sixty bucks for those if you get the 3 part grow micro bloom base nutes(30 for the base 1ltr set, 20ish for a litre of big bud.

l made one run with Ph perfect line. The ph on tap water is 8.3. It kinda amazed me it did make my water 5.8 I think directions on bottle says you should use ro water for it to work, but it did work with my tap water. Have you test ph of your water with the AN mixed in?

this is what advanced nutrients says .Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect Nutes. ... They claim their new recipes for Sensi Bloom/Grow and the three part grow/micro/bloom and a few other are all "pH Perfect". Meaning they will automatically adjust to the proper pH when added to water having a pH between 4.5 and 8.5.Jan 11, 2011 i say bull shit . how would they know what my water ph is ? i use a brand of nutrients that does not change the ph

in my experience it does not regulate the ph, last I checked mine it was 8. I've lost very few plants since switching to them from botanicare almost four years ago, and those were my fault so all I can deduce from that is that their marketing is shit but their product is good. I really wish theyd sell the company to better folks but for sixty bucks a crop and zero hassle ph wise I can ignore the garbage marketing and website

I'm using Promix Mycorrhizae HP...is there anything I can mix in with the Promix, like worm castings, bat guano powder, anything? Or should I just use bottled nutrients? And I also heard that the pH for this mixture because it is not soil, should be 5.5 to 6.2 rather than 6.3 to 6.7 like is soil medium or does it make no difference with this Promix Mycorrhizae HP like other say? I'm getting conflicting guidances and I'm confewzzed. lol
