Hey I just wanted to share this information with others on the site. I know a lot of people like area 51 or onyx or induction etc etc.

I have 4 300w diamond series panels and 1 100w and they are all kicking ass so far. I just purchased the 200 xte for $550ish and the offer is now passed on to you guys. If you go to the website yourself you won't be able to opurchase this as it is a secret promo for former customers.

http://www.advancedledlights.com/led-grow-lights/xte-series-led-grow-lights/

I am not affiliated with this company at all I only care about people getting good products for cheaper. (august 1st price goes up)

Thanks for posting the video, just checked my email and they sent me the video same time they put it out.

I don't think I will have my order by august 1st but if I do I will let you guys see how it performs.

Any reason to take these in consideration over other lights? I was looking into Vipar lights, and these seem to be quite a bit more expensive without any benefit. Well at least any benefit that I know of, which may not be much.

Chinese leds burn out and then you either have a fire or some burned out led.

The growth from my 300w diamond series was enough for me to try the newer versions. They have a better area output and get the job done with lower wattage than other leds. This company has done me right in every way possible (except I have not received any discount other than the one I just posted)

It was either add these to my garden or some area51. Both companies are proven with results. 3 year warranty american assembled no bullshit 90 day trial period. You can't really lose.

These lights also are a hell of a lot cooler than the chinese ones I have. I have to get a thermometer out to test it out but you can feel the heat coming off the lenses rather than the advanced you can have a plant grow right into the light and it WILL get bleached but it will NOT burn.

[ Biggest factor in me purchasing more is that I have experience with this company and they have yet to prove me right. ( I always said leds didn't grow weed, im so wrong). ]

They do some testing just like area51 so they improve their lights not just make a new shape and add a reflector.

oh?

In terms of cheap Chinese LED's is Bridgelux considered untrustworthy? Here's a link to what I'm talking about: Vipar

Perhaps I'm missing something but this just seems to provide a little more for a lot less. 468W vs 368W while costing almost exactly half the cost.

I read somewhere that Vipar and Advanced are made in the same factory. Evergrow. http://evergrowlighting.com/product.asp?id=48&class=EG LED Grow Lights

In trying to buy some from the online chat rep she in so many words told me she can not sell direct and if I wanted to buy some of their lights I needed to contact Vipar. (and I`m guessing Advanced as their website shows some lights that look light advanced)

This is all speculation though I really don`t know anything for sure. But the light in that video sure does look like the new vipar line being sold currently. Not only that but the Evergrow website claims they use epistar/bridgelux/cree leds and they also have a line that resembles the G8 or dormgrow line if I am not mistaken.
Once again all speculation.

Man I was close to ordering the xte200. I've used pretty much every model from advanced and they get better each time. Only reason I'm not grabbing this one right now is because I have too many lights. Hope you guys post up some pics of the xtes in action

I will ! :) I needed 1 100w light for my miniature tent ( 4lengthx2widthx4heigth don't know what order its supposed to be )

I then was thinking ... well hell time to get rid of all these chinese lights, or just use them as supplemental (although very hot).

So I will probably throw the chinese ones in the emergency bin for in case I have to send a light back or whatnot. You never know with anything, not cars, not electronics, not even tools.

I am no expert on what is good leds, all I know is that the people I purchased from have outshined the chinese counterparts by far and have treated me 100% to my satisfaction.

These lights are quality and you pay for quality.

Well being that most electronics are in some way manufactured outside of the USA even if they are designed and assembled here, often the difference between say an apple computer and say a harbor freight tool is quality control on the end product. I don`t know for sure what factory Advanced is made in but I do know Evergrow`s website has some that look like advanced and their sales rep in so many words told me they make Vipar. So one may guess that they possibly make Advanced as well.....maybe even G8 if you look around the Evergrow website. I`m not really trying to argue but the truth is that no one really does much complete manufacturing in house in the US any more. Components are sourced from China. In China/Asia there are good factories and bad factories just like here.
Oh and you don`t always pay for quality but you do always pay for a brand name.

could you tell me specifically what lights you had a hard time with? Dont get me wrong, I do believe and understand your point of view. I'm just curious what the origins of it are. From my perspective it seems you just have an inherent distrust of asian products for no real logical explanation besides one time you bought an unimpressive one that was built there. In China's defense, the Advance LED's do use CREE LED's which are likely produced in one of CREE's multiple manufacturing plants in Asia.

It's possible Advanced purchases their Crees from reputable sources and has them delivered to the Chinese factory, or does assembly in the US. This is what Area51 does (not clear what "final assembly" consists of). You could always call Advanced and ask them how their lights are different from a full-fledged Chinese import like Vipar.

I think Chinese lights can be a good value depending on the circumstance. I've read good things from Vipar owners. I'm a little reluctant to buy something from a company whose only presence (sources of information) is eBay product listings. I'd personally lean toward TopLED which is more of a factory-direct "outlet" store rather than a middleman.

I would put my 2 cents in I own an Apache tech 600 watt and you get what you pay for definitely 17 oz's 1st grow 3'x4.5'x6' flowering room 5 gallons soil smart pots. I looked into advanced personally they do look very nice just cant find any journals on them really. They do look very promising if they have a risk free trial why not :bigjoint:

I agree with the hesitance, but they do have a website http://www.viparled.co.uk/

Albeit not up to date I assume considering it doesn't have that light on board. I sent them an email inquiring
How do you know Vipar (eBay) is the same as VIPAR (UK)? I've always assumed the eBay seller is reusing a subtle variation of the name, like we see so many Chinese importers do (you'll find a lot of Mars and Blackstar lights on AliExpress, even though they look nothing like TopLED's Mars nor Lighthouse Hydro's Blackstar.).

I'm interested to know what you learn. I don't want to make false assumptions about them. I'd be more interested in hearing what VIPAR (UK) says since, if the eBay entity is just a name-ripoff, they might not tell you that as directly as the entity I've always thought was the real Vipar. (Not even sure who should be considered the "real" Vipar. Ha. I've just always assumed UK is, because the eBay seller has the hallmarks of the name-play seller.).

Anyway, curious to know what you find out.
