Are you saying those of us that are heavily into or were into guitar playing would recognize you as a professional musician"?

and if I would recognize your guitars then you must be pretty well known

No, I am not a professional. I do have my stuff on various websites though. I just don't want to post my gear and someone connect the dots that this other guy on this other site (who is totally NOT anonymous, I use my real name) has the exact same gear as me...

It's probably a pretty small risk. But I could end up in prison if my real identity is revealed, so I would rather not.

Hehehe, tons of musos here, that's EPIC. So the rest of my toys, or my favourites at least: Fully floated room for monitoring etc, house converts into recording easy as pie with control room all separate, CustomShop Strat with HOT alnico pups, Laney Lionheart valve amp, Adam A7x monitoring system with KRK V12 sub, Dave Smith Instruments Evolver synth, MIDI guitar, i7 based PC with RME 9632HDSP audio interface... Pretty badass playing keys off MIDI guitar and then takin the solo with the strat :)

As close to a hobby as I have got. Berklee educated so yeah I can play LOL... Done with bands etc. Got my hands on the right technology so now it's just me. Left hand recovering from being smashed. Literally. Getting back up to speed but I think those days of shreddin' are over for me. Now it's just laid back and dreamy, don't care what I play as long as I can play!

Almost died of depression without my axe. Can manage about 2 hours a day again, so sanity returns!

unless you play a guitar that was custom made for you, i doubt anyone would connect it. even if it is custom, i still doubt itd be recognized. like the strat i posted.. i doubt someone is sitting there like, I KNOW THAT SUNBURST STRAT

I KNOW THAT SUNBURST STRAT! I've seen about a gazillion of them for sale on craigslist.
