Adjusting soil ph after planting

I started my clones in fox farm happy frog potting soil with peat moss and perlite. I recently learned peat is acidic.

I started flowering yesterday, and they've been under 24 hours of light in red solo cups, 6 days in their final home, 2 gallon containers. It's basic potting soil from the nursery with their spagnam peat and perlite.

How do I test soil ph? How do I adjust soil ph after planting? What's Ideal soil ph?

I won't start a new thread since this one exists ... however I have a different question:

Is it bad to use pH down to adjust the water pH prior watering biobizz lightmix soil ? I was told pH down kills microbes and lemon/apple vinegar should be used instead ... however are there microbes in lightmix ?
