Thanks Fresno. I'm gonna go down to the local market and get me a bottle of Grandma's. Then I'm gonna feed my babies the love they deserve. Lol. +rep for this one brother.
If you have a Smart & Final around, they have a gallon for 18 bucks sales on Grandma's sometimes

Nope, just a Wal-Mart the next town over. I can get a bottle for only $3. I forget how many fluid ounces it is though. I know down at our local feed store they have it too. Can't remember the prices on it though. I'm gonna pick it up before my next feeding though. The in-laws owe me $40 from poker night. Lol. Thinking about maybe getting a prepaid debit card and seeing what I can find on the net for my girlies. Any thoughts other than molasses?

I just use seaweed extract. It helps build a strong root system and it promotes healthy plant growth.....helps fight disease and pest problems as well.
I hear that at local feed stores they sell the molasses for 20 bucks per 5 gallon bucket

Seaweed helps fight off pests? Cause I got a shitload of bug problems and the weekly neem treatments don't seem to be helping so much. I got leaves with chew holes in them. Like some miniature pitbulls been tearing through my leaves. If seaweed helps, shoot me a link to where I can get some good shit. I got $40 bucks coming to me. I need to put it to good use, other than beer and video games. Lol.

I'm really liking AzaMax and Monterey spinosad (cheaper) for bugs. Both get rid of and prevent mites and cats among other pests. I got the Monterey at Amazon. I'll have to check out the seaweed for next year :)

They sell it at most garden centers for 11-12 dollars a quart I think. I only use a tea spoon per gallon of water.....about once or twice a week and they love it. I have been using Neem too. I am going to stop when the buds start filling in a little more in a couple of weeks. Then I will only use BT.

I found myself haveing the same problem. This all started at the begaining of the season since I had no job or income. So I started doing alot of resarch on good cheap plant foods and one group Caught my eye which was the group of organics. I went with airarrated compost tea which is fairly cheap, I make mine out of sea bird, bat guano, and worm castings, leaf compost/ early spring grass compost, the most inpotant part is the molasess also I use earth juice micro blast which is a good cheap mirco nute it runs about 14$ a quart. This mix is a good folier feed, pestaside, grorth hormone as well a soil drench.

Ah, good ol' Earth Juice. I used the full line-up last year on my indoor Durban Poison grow. Outstanding shit. I had FF Happy Frog for potting mix and all Earth Juice. Needless to say, with a 6 foot plant, I had like 9 ounces dry weight or so. Some of the best shit I've smoked. That Earth Juice rules the roost. I'm probably gonna get some for my indoor cabinet grow this winter. Should be good to use on autos. I'm going with some NL auto, Auto Bomb, and Purple Kush. I hear they're relatively short plants, but they eat like full size plants. Lol.

I'd love to have that kind of money. No disrespect brother, but, I live in a town of less than 1000 people with no job market whatsoever. People around here make money hustling. I get a government check (SSI, as does 83% of my town) and so I can't afford any of that good shit. When my crop finishes and I take in over a QP at $300 a lid, then yeah, I will definitely get some good shit. But for now, I'm just a small podunk town mountain man grower trying to feed his family. That's why I asked about molasses with MG. Cause MG is cheap and so is molasses.
You can get 250ml of overdrive for $10-$12 and you only use it for the last 2 weeks of flower..... Too pricey? If you say so.....

I definitely will. With coco coir, don't you have to pH everything though? That sounds a bit tedious, huh? Cause if you are off, you gotta add pH up or down, and a bunch of other stuff. Of course, this is only guessing, because I've never pH'd anything. I might look into that coir though. That Happy Frog was all organic mix. It had mychorrizae (sp?) in it. Hell, Idk. Lol. I'm starting to ramble now. Just got me some indoor G13 from my cousin and my brain is all retarded right now. God I love my bubbler. Lol. Alright, peace. And thanks for the tip. I'm gonna look into some of that stuff. Any links to where I can find it on the cheap?

I have heard but not for sure that fox farm adds a chemical fertlizer to there soil. I have to ph every watering tho it's not bad. I use vinager as ph down. But just buy a big 5lb bundle of coir it's 15$ most you should pay. then add a a good amount of peralite and or wood chips. Then add worm castings And bat guano
I have 2 versions of it tho I prefer the first one tho you can add a bag of mirical grow cactus palm and cictrus soil I prefer to let it weather out side before use, but it's optional. I fisrt started growing cannabis with cactus soil I got a half pound out of 1 plant I screen of greened under 400 watts of cfls

i agree with the guy who said letting ur bud finish all the way is the best thing u can do for density. marijuana plants pack on about 50% of their weight in the last two weeks so by pulling ur plants two weeks ahead of schedule u could end up with only half of wat u wouldve gotten had u let them finish. i think the type of nutrients are far less important than just giving ur plants some type of nutrients. i think we all get caught up a little bit in which brand works better and all that crap. ive used several different lines of nutes and honestly i couldnt tell the difference in quality or yield. so i just use an all organic line thats reasonably priced. as for the molasses, i wouldnt use it after ur plants are further than one month into budding. it has been known to decrease the potency of the smell and taste (not thc potency tho) of ur bud. i use it during veg and about 3 weeks into flowering then i cut it off. but like i said i think any type of nutes are good as long as ur plant isnt deficient in anything and is not put thru a lot of stress during flowering, and u wait until its all the way done, i think u will be more than pleased with the density and weight of ur nugs.

Huh? Why do finishers like ej catalyst, bud candy, carbo load, and the like have molasses in them then? Why do experienced growers flush with molasses at the end? Do you have proof for this claim? Not trying to be a dick bit im using nothing but molasses last two weeks of flower and everything i read and learned leads me to believe it is not something that will decrease smell or taste...the myth about what it does is actually the exact opposite.....?

first of all its not "flushing" if ur using molasses, flushing is with water only. flushing outdoors when u have organic matter in your soil is pointless anyways, but thats a whole other debate. those "finishers" u speak of are a waste of money, if u have purchased any urself i suggest u get ur money back. but the myth about wat it does is exactly that, a myth. i think people assume because ur adding a sugar to ur soil that it will somehow bring out the "sweetness" of ur plant, i disagree. it may help pack on some more weight because it helps make more nutrients available to ur plants. ive ran plants with molasses and without and there was no pattern. some buds grown without were better than some grown with and visa versa. start with some good genetics and u wont have to worry about ur bud smellin good. but to answer ur question as to whether i have any proof for this claim, the answer is no, not any more than the people who claim it adds to flavor and smell. my uncle is an old school grower, he has some degree in botany or watever, owns a landscaping business, been growin for 30+ years... basically he knows his shit. hes been growing bud longer than ive been alive and hes the one who first told me that, and ive heard it again since. he said too much molasses will lockup nutrients and can even kill ur plants. he swears by molasses for veg and the beginning of bloom but he never uses it when the plants are further than one month into flower. he says using a smaller dosage each time is better. i use a 1/2tbsp per gallon as opposed to some people who use upwards of 2tbsp. but i tend to take his word on things, 99% of the time hes right.

Im well aware of flushing is but if you do a lil research you'll learn that some people "flush" their plants last two weeks with molasses in the water to provide K, calmag, and Fe in the absence of nutes. Also i agree that brand name finishers are a waste of money bc molasses does the same thing for $3.

Also i mentioned the myth to compare it to yours or your uncles myth that it somehow retards flavor/scent. You could be right, i just never heard or read about that. Youre right about it tying up nitrogen though but it only happens with large doses as the microbes grow too fast and begin eating and competing for all the nitrogen in the soil w/ur plant. 1-2 TEAspoons once a week is more than enough to avoid this.

Youre uncle may be right though like i said, i just asked bc im doing it and didn't want to hurt my plants....its just hard to believe bc of the brand name products that include molasses in higher doses at ripening (eg. Earth Juice Catalyst), my research, and the fact that old school growers grow in old school ways. My neighbor is an old timer too and he swears on drenching the roots with milk once a week. For calcium maybe? will do some more research, thanks

I am confused on how you give measurements for the molasses for your plants. Are those for my 3 footers or my 10 footers?
