Adding UV to COB

I've had PM a cpl times, but was able to keep it in check until harvest with natural organic methods. As fast as I go from cutting to flower, I dont use any systemic cures because I wont deal with the toxins or half lifes. Anything I can do to add a wall of protection with a non-chemical approach, Im all about it! @.15 per kwh Im looking at less than $6 a month to run both T5HO lights 12 hrs a day. :)
What humidity are you running?

I like to be in the 40% range. Around 45 is perfect. I also try to stay in the 70's on temps. I hit 82 sometimes but I broke my cycle up a bit to keep temps down.

My temps dont move from 68 low/lights off-78 hi/lights on. My high hasnt been over 78 since summer. RH moves around a bit but stays between 35-55%

So uv-a can be run along with my normal light schedule? Or do you still have to reduce it, just not as much as uv-b?

My understanding is UV-A can be run with your regular lighting like a supplemental. Using UV-B on the other hand is where you would need to run it on a timer for a few min every hr for 4 hrs a day.

Both UV A and B can be run at the same time as your main lights. Remember our solar system's sun constantly produces UV. UV C and some UV B is filtered out as light passes through the Earth's atmosphere.

For anyone that has used HID lighting prior to committing to COB based lighting. UV A is part of the HID light spectrum.
