Sounds good. But you provide the difference between adding the ph up first rather than adding it last?
You still have a good chance of having a reaction. Even a limited one that's hard to "see" the precipitate!

I used to say it was ok, Then an organic chemist, set me straight.

Always first - with any silica!

@Dr. Who
I have been adding pH up last for the last 4 weeks or so. I haven't had any cloudy solution or sediment at all that I could see. Did I get really lucky or is this a freak deal or something? I use botanicare PBP grow, liquid karma, and CalMag Plus. I believe the pH up is GH. I haven't noticed any problems from this method at all but I have also never seen this advice either. I mixed up 2 gallons last night and they looked great this morning.
Not familiar with the exact contents of that brand - easy to look up!
Some, and I mean a very limited amount of pH up products, do NOT have potassium silicate in them.
First one that comes to mind is TechnaFlora ..... I know there are like 1 or 2 more that don't.

Quick Google found this regarding GH pH up.

pH Up: This base solution is formulated using potassium hydroxide and potassium carbonate. Add a little at a time when your nutrient pH is too low in order to raise the pH to the proper level.

So, I take it that I am ok with my process?

YUP, your good to go!

Nice of you to look that up. Not fond of dye's in it but, that's not any real "problem". Just personal opinion.

Good deal. Thank you sir. Now if I could get these assholes to show their sex, I could get this show on the road. Lol

Fertilisers are expensive enough to want to get every bit of food from them rather than just reacting with each other. Even if it is only a small loss, it adds up over a few grows.
