Just pluck those lower leaves off
Yeah, I just tied it down last night, I haven’t had my session with them yet today. Just went to check, definitely no bugs. Going to throw some pics in the grow journal sometime here, I have a 16 top manifold on the go that might get interesting.Just pluck those lower leaves off
Ya lucas still doesn't make sense to me.Just put 200ppm or so of grow in. I had the same problem. I just gave up on Lucas because of it. I just added grow to my recirculating system that was running Lucas. No issues with it being added in after (falling out of suspension etc). You’re only running around 450ppm nutes anyhow after your base reading (from memory, too lazy to scroll up and do the math). You could double that if you wanted. Maybe even just an increase in bloom nutes would bump up your nitrogen levels as it would increase everything overall. But I vote for dumping the grow in.
Yeah I never did add grow, I used AN calmag which had 4x the nitrogen of calimagic if I remember (without looking). They been running around 750ppm of just nutes and been happy, but I think like before, it depleted in a week. They got 100ppm of Cali last night.Just put 200ppm or so of grow in. Thank you, haven’t seen these charts yet, saved them for reference. Good info, this is my first time using GH as well.Hope these are of some help.
Per ML/Gram - per Gallon elementals.

your feed schedule's last few weeks is Lucas. 1:2 micro/bloom ratio, no grow.Ya lucas still doesn't make sense to me.
is the feed chart specifically for cannabis or just a schedule for most hydroponic growing? Why not run the GH the way the manufacturer recommends ?
how do you accomplish that during bloom while risking bud mold?the fastest easiest way to get around this is to do some foliar feeding
It’s not a issue of the plant not being able to, it’s making sure it’s available. Still running Lucas and the plants have been happy. I just have to watch and give them what they are depleting. 100ppm of calimagic is all I added this last round, if I think I need nitrogen, I will use AN calmag. If I want to abort Lucas, I have gallons of grow collecting dust. I have maybe 10-14 days of veg left if that, I’m spending a lot of time training and the plants have been pretty stressed off and on. The recovery and training is pretty much over now. I’m use to growing in soil, hydro is giving me nothing to do but watch the plants push nodes, should of switch years ago. I avoid foliage feeding, prob did it maybe 3 times in 10 years for shits and giggles. Why not run the GH the way the manufacturer recommends ?
Sometimes no matter what is in the food the plant will not properly uptake the nutrients and your just pissing in the wind messing with the formula...., the fastest easiest way to get around this is to do some foliar feeding, get that nitrogen into the leaves and those plants should green back up..i feed with full strength nutrients with a little wetting agent.
that's what's nice about Lucas; it's simple and it works. is it optimal for all phases of growth? maybe not. i think it needs more N for veg and for transitiion. but for most of flower, i think it works awesome.Still running Lucas and the plants have been happy.
Yeah man, I spent a lot of time deciding what to run when I planned all this. I keep having mixed feeling on Lucas but keep in mind I’m new to hydro and GH so I’m on my toes already. This is how I learn, I do it and learn as I go. I agree with the formula and the fact that it might need some more N. I would of never known until I tried regardless of what anyone told me. If you scroll up I’m pretty sure I said I was quitting Lucas 2-3 times now yet here I am. I will find my spot soon.that's what's nice about Lucas; it's simple and it works. is it optimal for all phases of growth? maybe not. i think it needs more N for veg and for transitiion. but for most of flower, i think it works awesome.
what's even better for me (that is trying out new brands and formulas) is that if i get too far off track, i can dump my res and go bak to Lucas knowing that it does work.
Well I can tell you this. I tried 5/10 when I first started feeding, I had problems fast, when I did the waterfall update, I cleaned my tubs and gave them fresh 8/16 and they loved it. Huge difference. I’m totally up for adding more micro, I also have micro hardwater which dials back calcium. I used that at the start and that was a mistake. Have 2.5 gallon jug of it too, can maybe try using that. I use reg micro now.@J232 jsut thought of something as i hit reply on that last post.
wonder what would happen if you bump up Micro by 1 or 2 mL per gallon instead of adding cal/mg? so instead of 8/16, something like 9/16 or 10/16. maybe even just 0.5 mL extra might give the extra N?
Yes, I would add more N right from the start next time and watch for Ca deficiency’s. That’s the only thing I can report back on so far otherwise, simple. You will always need something to fall back on, the trio seems to be very trustworthy, as long as I have those I know I can make it work. Give me 15 bottles of AN, 25% chance I’m killing a plant lmao. Jacks and the dyna grow are on my radar but I might need a couple GH runs first. I’m hunting my mother plants for the next round as we speak and already pumped for it.that's what's nice about Lucas; it's simple and it works. is it optimal for all phases of growth? maybe not. i think it needs more N for veg and for transitiion. but for most of flower, i think it works awesome.

that's a good plan. you really need to have a few good grows to get an idea of how good/bad GH is. then when you switch, you'll have something to compare against.Jacks and the dyna grow are on my radar but I might need a couple GH runs first.
Right on, yeah I have high expectations of GH, I’m not sure why. It might be one of those things that I just always wanted to try but just never have? I fell for the graphics on AN and the fancy marketing stuff. I even looked at Remo. I didn’t do remo just because of the relation to AN and after all the reading I did on AN and my results over multiple grows, I wasn’t willing to try anything else they offered (referring to the people’s relationship). There’s so much out there and so many people telling you what’s best, you just have to listen to the ones who been there and give it a go for yourself. These strains are new to me as well, will add to the challenge and make a baseline harder but I have clones of everything so who knows, might run some again.that's a good plan. you really need to have a few good grows to get an idea of how good/bad GH is. then when you switch, you'll have something to compare against.
Dyna Gro foliage pro is my veg nute. do need to add Mg though via Epsom.
I wont be trying Jacks until end of summer.
