add second pot under main pot instead of REPOT?

So I am vegging in my 5-6th week and the plants are in 1 gallon containers. I need to repot, BUT my grow space won't allow for any bigger pots.

Somebody said I could cut the bottoms off of these pots and put them on top of another 1 gallon container filled with soil.

What do you think? should i start flower, sex them and then repot into a normal wider larger pot? or try the stacking method?

The stacking method is an ingenius way to transplant without disturbing the root ball at all. I have not tried it myself i am set in my own ways lol.

i will try this next time... i have 12 in 1 gal pots needing to transplant into 3 gals pretty soon and i also have issues with space, so i may just get another 1 gal under it for now... good lookn out

Cool, i will do this for now, but do you guys think a plant can be happy into and throughout the flowering stage in two 1 gallon stacked pots, or will i have to triple stack eventually!

damn thats some silly shit,.. awesome it works but i wouldnt make a habit of it
everybody needs to stop growing in round pots and just go square for using all the space that you have

the round pots take up more space and it is not used for soil, it is dead space
i can fit at least 16 rectangle 3 gallon garbage bins into my room now:hump:.. i think id be lucky to get 10 3 gallon round pots to fit.
they also waste more space if they are shaped \_/

i wouldnt make a habit of it because i would just buy the right size pots for the next grow.

do you have a pic of both pots stacked ?
how many gallon/liter is each pot ?

i was stoned and somewhat buzzed doing my first repots ever
ive done around 25 total now ... zero signs of stress:hug:

if you used plastic pots you can flex them the entire way around free the roots grip from the pot .. and on the bottom ... then slowly turn it upside down supporting the base of the plant with 2 fingers(not squeezing it)
and tap the bottom till it slides out
