My hanna meter reads for EC: 3995
PPM is: 2000
Is 3995 .39? I tought it was 3.9
That is 3.9 and double the max at peak.
What system you using and what media and so on?
That is lethal ec...
5 Gallon Buckets with an airstone. The plant sits in a netpot with clayballs. Roots dangle in the water with nutes. Plants are looking prety healthy to me. Should I drain and readd? Even when I just added 4 liters of water, the ec is still 3.9
PH says its between 5-6 on each plant. I got that in check. They are 5 weeks into flowering. I just got my hanna last week and since then I have not seen the EC go under 3900. Ill go get calibration fluid tomorrow.
But guys, if I remove all the water and just add fresh nutes then would I just add the same amount of nutes I would have on week 6 or would I need more in the water since the nutes from week 5 aint there no more?
either your meter is broken or you are very confused, either way dump the rez and mix up a fresh batch
If you are reading your meter correctly, then it needs to be calibrated. Your plants would die at that EC.
Maybe you mean CF = 4.0?
CF of 4.0 = EC of 0.4
If your plants are alive, and your pH is 5 to 6, then your EC CANT be 4.0
It almost sounds like he's been adding back full nutes without rez changes on a weekly basis by what he's saying, but I'm hoping that's not the case.
Those look like a weekly recipe where you are supposed to dump the rez and start fresh each week to me.
