I'm sure you will hear many opinions, but I will point out a few. Pulling from the outside can increase the bug risk in your grow. You can get a filter to prevent this, but the risk is still there. If you keep your living space cool, then pulling from the inside can help if your outside temps are hot. Some people get caught growing because the exhaust outside with a crappy filter or no filter at all. Don't be that guy. Depending on where you are growing at your place, you might have to have ducting going every which way, which can be very frustrating. Both outside and inside have co2 and fresh air, so no need to worry about that.

Well what are you using the air for? Personally I like drawing from the outside. I like the cool nighttime air and use it to cool my lights. Works excellent. I also like using the cool nighttime air to replenish the co2 and to cool the room. Be smart about it and you shouldn't have any problems.

I guess inside air makes sense for me. Might not for others.

If you know what you want to accomplish then let that make the decision.

I grew in NC and used the cool night time air to cool lights and cool room. I could only run the system from september till may because the june, july san august nighttime air was not cool enough to cool room and lights. so i would shut it down during those months which was no biggie because i was growing outdoors during those months.

i recently moved to the north east and am looking forward to being able to harness the cold night time air available to me. It's gonna be a beautiful thing.

I've struggled Tru a few nor cal summers myself. I'll tell you, this is my last one. Nothing but trouble.

yeah thats what i'm talking about. I tried one summer indoors and it was just to hot without adding, imo, too much "stuff." I was growing in a basement too. Cooling and ventilation is always the biggest hurdle for sure. Once the decision is made to skimp out in these areas the garden is doomed to failure. Some people just don't get it.

I hear yea. At what point does it become counter productive. It's not like I'm making millions, or thousands so....just do enough to last the 5 mnths of down time and all is well
