Acouple quick Questions, all the help appreciated!

ok so me being a noob i have acouple questions and hopefully u experienced people out there could help me.

i have acouple og kush plants and topped them off at about 12inches each, now me like an idiot i cut some of the top fan leaves because i felt it was blocking direct light to the new growth, I was previously told not to do this but i already had done it, COuld this kill my babies, or effect it in a negative way, if so is there any way i could reverse the effects or anything i could do to help the situation, thanks to those who do answer and help me...

Well your plant will be absorbing less light and thus less energy to produce glucose to fuel its growth. But don't stress out man it's a weed they're hardy!

stop cutting fan leaves. nothing you can do but wait it out. it may slow its growth.

damn i know i shouldnt of done it and should of asked 1st before doing it, hopefully my babies are ok, because i did cut most of the top ones off thinking it would be smart to do because the horizontal growth wasnt getting direct light......

If you want your lower branches to get more light LST the plant. But then again I just chop the lower 1/3 of the plant cause it's a detriment.

no harm they will grow back but you lost some power by cutting them off, stop it!!

yeah i deff know that now thanks too you guys, Another thing, i flowered my og kush 2days ago and they where about from 12-16 inches, 5 of them in a 4x6 tray, with a 1000whps and a 400wMh....im running about 950nutes, ph from 6.0-6.5...temp ranging from 75-85....what would be the average yield from this setup.

Low stress training...involves tying the branches down so they grow horizontally instead of vertically growing and blocking light from lower growth.

There are many articles on this subject.

oh ok, and from your experience, do you find the plant yields more, etc from this method, or you havent tried it?

Nothing low stress to it. It causes basically the same changes within the plants as if you had just cut the top off the plant. Actually it probably causes more stress. Basically if you do anything to a plant but just let it grow straight up with a single central cola spike you are stressing the plants. The gains usually do not get increased proportionaly except in that you are fooling the plant into trying to shoot up may small cola spikes in the hopat least one will be able to carry out reproduction. Bending the plant over slows the growth but increases the yield on a per height basis, so there is only a gain iif you have the square footage avilable for the changed growth pattern. Typically you will get no more yield that if you just grown the plant taller in the incraesed period of time it will take to grow out and bud the bent over plant. It is a nice method for those medical marijuana growers that are only allowed to have a limited number of plants growing at one time. The bent over plant is about like a SOG but it only counts as one plant on a medical grow.

just a little side note 6.5 on the ph is ok but hydro does best under5.5 -6 unless your nutes have buffers in it than its all good

yea but even single cola you still have to trim off branches that grow out away from the main branch, unles you have the perfect strain. that i still dont have might i say :(

oh see i didnt know that, i was told it wus from 6.0-6.5...maybe that could be the reason im seeing some nute lockup...and wondering why because my ph rangers no lower than 6.0 and no higher than 6.5

for sure the ranges you were told r for dirt

oh wow, i do ebb and flow and tray tables, You do hydro yourself?.....and thanks for letting me know that, that could be the reason why im seeing color on my plant leaves on some of them and wondered why if my ph wus always on point, but it could be that it was too high.

yea prob, i did the same thing when i first tried hydro. what kind of nutes r u using?

For veg im using, B.C. Grow and B.C. Boost, Additives are, Floralicious, Sweet,Used a little of Voodoo Juice.....For FLowering i use B.C. BLoom and B.C. Boost...additives are floralicious Bloom, carbaload,Voodoo juice, and gonna use Beasty Bloom

Huge differnce betwen cutting offf the hormonally controlling top tip or bending the plant over vesrus just trimming off some non controlling lower side branchs with the top left intact. The first two choices causehughe hormal changes while the seconfd merely lowers nutrient up takes through reduced tranpiration. Huge differences.
