hey...thanks. yea I have certainly had some interesting experiences in the recent past - lost my mom, my dad, my 17 yr marriage and forced into bankruptcy (divorce) all in four years. Coming out of that wormhole now and life is good....very good indeed. One foot in front of the other. sometimes ur forced in a direction you must go. can't change anything by digging a deeper hole in the same place. Focus on what's good. no one can take my kids or my career. That's all I was left with. Focus on what makes you swell with pride. I read a cool book a while back - the Four Agreements - (1) use your word wisely and with integrity (2) never take anything personal (its always their stuff and a projection of their reality, not yours) (3) don't assume anything and (4) always do your best. They have helped me tremendously through my journey. and yes you are totally right - it is a phase, anotehr test of what ur made of.....it will cycle - guaranteed - it will always cycle - even when on the up - you can expect there will be more bumps - but the better you get at dealing with the bumps - the less they will become bumps. wise words indeed my friend. helps put things in perspective. it seems as though i am heading for the same bumps as you went through. the four agreements are good principles. i guess time for me to man up and square off with these problems. on a positive note, lets hear some things you guys in this rollitup family would like to achieve. i hope to win my game in fantasy football this week. haha:mrgreen:

I want to make a good living playing poker...

I paid the bills for 2 years doing it, but it was tough.

I just quit my job and am going for it again.....

I hate working for some1....I have also been thinking about a small business.....

i too want to start a small business. a nice little pro shop for paintball. the closest one is 30 mins away besides the sporting goods stores round here wich suck.. i think i could make a pretty goood income off of one.

yeah i hate working for someone else. i love poker and got decent for a while. wondered what it would take to become a pro. i figured it would be hard knock life. what was it like making your living from poker, because i am intrigued.

yeah my best friend started up a team for a while and had a paintball business too. seems like he did pretty well. i want to start a clothing company one day.:mrgreen:

It gets rough, it's a lot easier playing for fun, because the swings dont matter as much......

Atleast I work on my own schedule

no doubt. i idolize phil helmuth. just kidding, i think he is a douche. i like negreanu and matusow, gus hansen. i get obsessed with things for a year, like poker. i would play like 15 hours a day. now i read about growing 15 hours a day and play with my plants all day. now i havent played a lot of poker because i am obsessed with growing. and i hardly smoke at all haha.

I'm the same way, I have had like 50 hobbies.
I get really good at something then I move on to another.
Poker is the 1 hobby I have stuck with.

Oh, and growing.....

id love to save a bunch of money til im thirty by living with a good budget and then when im 30 move to british columbia(in the middle of the wilderness) build a house (i build houses for a living so itd be easy) that runs on solar energy so no cost and buy a winnebago that runs on biodiesel and just do whatever the fuck i want for the rest of my life. also impling that im growing tons of bud. alright i think thats all peace:blsmoke:

Well I'm young still and working on a college education...I'm a junior now, and will probably go on for a masters degree in the future. That's a pretty big accomplishment for me...nobody in my family went to college so that would be neat :)

I'd like to make good money, and love what I do

Hmmm I'm kinda gonna do the opposite of u jomal. I decided the other day that I'm going to drop out of college and open up my own business. It's what I've always wanted to do and I know everyday I stay in college i'm taking one step closer to getting a career. Something I've never wanted to do. I want to be filthy rich and not work for anyone the rest of my life. That's my new goal. And you can't do that one being a slave to society. So fuck it, I'm dropping out after this school year. This is my plan, Start growing the shit out of some weed(I already got 10 BB and 10 WW started.) and make a shit load of money real quick. I already know I can, I sold weed for two years. And i've done the math, if I'm growing my own and selling instead of selling other ppl's I will be making somewhere around 20 G's a month. I will do this for a year or two, just long enough to have enough money saved up to open my business. And if I can make that succesful I will be set for life:blsmoke:
What do you guys think of my idea? Well, it's really not an idea anymore, the wheels are already in motion.

It's very risky but also very possible just make sure you dont get busted right before you are about to cash out cause then you just gonna lose it all

I Haven't Had A Job For Over Four Years Now And It Sucks, I Don't Do Shit All Day.

hey LS - right on ! that's the key....find your passion and do it well. I have a 27 yr career that I love and jump out of bed every morning excited about what I will get to do next (ok ok ok.....not every morning). what touches deep in your soul? try and find that. Its sometimes difficult cuz often a hobby turned into a vocation becomes boring cuz its not your passion. and of course there's always the need have your passion support you. for some its a life long process of trying differnet stuff, for oterh it works out early. there is no failure except in no longer trying. :blsmoke:
