got it in a basement..and im sorta up north not to much tho..I got this one http://www.lowes.com/pd_367199-37610-GL-PAC-08E4_4294749561__?productId=3652601&Ns=p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&pl=1&currentURL=%3FNs%3Dp_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&facetInfo= before my temps got up to 89 degrees so i had to get an ac unit..so i set it in their sense its rather small and hooked the hose for the exhaust to some 6in ducting i had leading from the tent to the window..Put it on auto set and it automatically keep the room around 75 degrees..it's also on its own timer so it cuts on when the lights do and still have a intake running during the night.

sounds like maybe your problem was just not pulling enough air............its way easier to move air than to cool it

Well I had 2 intakes on each side blowing fresh air in and 2 box fans under each light blowing around also I have air cooled lights .it's gooood bit of air circulating but it's just when it gets pretty hot out is when it gets toasty in the tent..and really I bought the ac unit incasee I ever need it in the future as well

sounds like that ac has a 4 in exhaust........... i read the reviews i hear talk of hooking it up to a dryer vent thing on the outside and only needing a window that opens 4 inches...............

well i fix ac units for a living and im going to tell you that that unit will not run long if you run it in any position that is not horizontal. The freon inside the unit will travel to areas of the unit that it shouldn't be causing it to damage the compressor (motor) and turn it into an energy sucking fan. What i suggest is a hole in the floor the ac sits next to it, make a louver vent from the back of the ac to the floor and cover the unit with a plywood box. Drill some holes in the front of the box for airflow and use the box as a table or something, conforming to your stealth needs

Recently had a couple capacitors get water damaged and rusty on UI board fail on me on my GE ACH10LYQ1 window ac but turns out they don't make the parts anymore, so I found a part to a similar GE which looks to have all the same capacitors same values everything same. WJ26X23879 this is the part number I bought. Do you think this will work? Any help here would be greatly appreciated! I don't want to ruin my unit but I don't have many choices, if this doesn't work it's straight wiring and or trying to solder new parts on the old UI board. I apologize for the long windedness. Thanks in advance!

I doubt it's rust, what on a PCB would be steel or iron? Even if you replace the parts that appear damaged, there could be others.
What does it connect to, another board? Part number of existing board? Maybe post pics of both boards together?
