AC units and closets

Any one have any experiance when it comes to portable ac units in closets, more like a small room, the cloest is 8 x 12, I am not sure how they work but seems weird they would work in an enclosed room like where does the hot air go? Or do they just emit cool air and where does the water go that most ac units spew?

portables have a hose or even 2 that you would need to have somewhere to exhaust the hot air to. they have a drain bucket you either have to empty every so often,or you can run a hose to a drain.

there are single hose units that take the room air you are trying to cool and use it to cool the ac and out the exhaust hose. dual hose units have a hose to bring air in to cool the ac and another hose to exhaust the heat. the other hose is not for water. they have a catch pan for water or you can run a drain hose outside the room or to a condensate pump. portables ac units are by for the most inefficient systems ever made. they suck your enviroment right out of the room(even the dual hose because there is tons of crossover inside the unit) and the exhaust hose can act like a huge heater. 8x12 is a damn good sized room and you will be very dissapointed after wastinglots of money. your twobest options are water cooling or a mini split ac. i have a one ton inverter minisplit for my 6x10 room and have no need to even air cool my lights. 3000w hps, 3 ballasts, dehumidifier, co2 generator and my household 50gal water heater are all in room and can take temp from 80 to 70 with lights on.
