AC exhaust extension

Does anyone know a good way or anyway to extend a portable ac exhaust? For anyone that doesn't know, your generally not supposed to extend them. It locks the compressor up.

I connected about 25ft of ducting and put a 240 cfm fan at the end to boost the air out of the garage. Temp got to 97 degrees in the tent cause the compressor locked up and it was putting out room temp air. Then I moved the fan to right after the ac exhaust (inline fan) and then into 25ft of ducting. Was pushing out a ton of air. Dropped to 90 degrees. Still too hot. Took the fan and ducting away and it went to 88 degrees. If I don't exhaust the air out of the garage the ambient temp gets too high after a few hours and the tent heat rises. I know cause when I open my garage door and let hot air out, the temp drops 4-8 degrees in the tent as we'll.

i need to to somehow get the ac exhaust directly out of the garage. Stronger cfm fan? I'm completely out of ideas.

How does the exhaust peneteate the wall to the outside?
I would put a dryer vent thru the exterior wall as close to the AC unit as possible.

I would blow a hole bigger than the output of the ac into the garage then maybe vent the garage with a power vent.

Seem like a lot of heat for a tent.

Town home, renting. The walls are cinder block as well. If I could link it through the 25 foot ducting it goes to the garage door where there's a large enough crack to vent some out

I have a portable unit and I run about 20' of 6" ducting out my basement window. I removed a glass block and put in a dryer vent in its place and ran my exhaust out that way. I had this setup before in my condo, but was 30' of ducting. so 1/2 way in the exhaust piping I added a 6" 440cfm fan on a timer for the a/c. now in my house, I just have the a/c unit exhaust as smooth and little bends as possible and it flows nicely out my dryer vent.

I have my a/c duct fixed on to my air intake. it pulls the cold air into the tent when the lights on. my scrubber is inside the tent, then blows out. no other filter

Yeah that was my concern (I'm fucked). But cause space is limited and the holes in the tent are a certain way I had the exhaust pipe bent at a 180 degree turn. Yesterday I repositioned the ac and cut my own holes in the tent so the intake and out take are completely straight. Temp was at 84 which I can live with for now. I'll try and figure out a different way to get more hot air out of the garage.

DemonT, is your filter in the tent enough to kill the smell? That's my plan, 440cfm fan with carbon filter scrubbing the air.

I made a DIY carbon scrubber. it holds 180oz of premium activated charcoal and is huge. I have this matted to an 8" 750cfm fan. there is no smell. I replace the charcoal every 3 harvests.

Have you checked at HomeDepot or Lowes for a dryer duct booster fan? It will help drive the air through the hose eliminating back pressure and "stuck air". You should be able to pick one up for under $100 and would probably increase your efficiency dramatically.

I just bought a 400cfm 6" centrifugal inline fan for 60 bucks shipped...Fuck duct booster fans...
