ac and dehu needs

so ill be lighting the 5x10s with 2 630w cmh and 1 720w or 650w led per tent, the 4x4s will have about 2kw light between them not too worried about them but the bigger room will have about 8kw of just lighting and each tent will be exhausted out of the room outside with 2 8 inch exhaust fans per tent. i live in alaska so it never gets over 90 in the summer, usually around 70-80 in the hot times, not very humid like 50-60% at most. id like to not have to buy the quest 205 right off the bat, and im not really informed of the difference between wall mount ac and mini splits. over all the aprox room sizes are 250sq foot fore the large room and probably like 100 sq foot for the small (rough math here) as i will be running a lot of lighting id like to efficiently cool it as best as possible, if i could keep to around 4k or less (preferably less lol)for the both id be extremely pleased. also sorry for my scatterbrained thoughts and shitty grammar design.jpg

Dude just build a large veg room and a large flower room. You have the space. Tents are for bedrooms and little indoor grows, you are not gearing up for a "hobby grow".

Me... I'm a hobby grower. I have a 3x3 for veg and a 5x5 for flower. You could actually have 2 flower rooms so that the power is always running on one or the other (One shuts off, the other turns on). Circulate the air between both rooms constantly and your ac will be more effective and temps will be more constant. Talk to someone like @Renfro about the setup im sure he has all sorts of plans already drawn up for your space. You also only need to have half the available power for the flower room, just set a few minute break (room one runs 1203pm to 1157 pm, room two runs 1203am to 1157am)

i appreciate the feedback but i have a pretty solid plan on what im doing here. just bending out the last few kinks, i really don't think i need a quest 205 for like 250 sq foot and 4 tents, and the tents are for a perpetual grow. i also did not mean to say this was a hobby or imply that, as much as i love it it could be a hobby but with the path im deciding to take thats not what im looking to do here. ive got most my science down here to the point i can go fourth, have my third perpetual cycle in swing with everything else coming along perfect as is. this is also to prevent mistakes being the end of me, as i am learning. but i do appreciate the feedback. if you have suggestions on what i asked id appreciate it much more <3

im trying to fit this into a time i can preform these tasks while still being able to work at least 30-40 hours a week. we have a bit of a limited budget (20k) to start with so we are already around 18k without fancy timers or irrigation yet so im going to have to fund that in a few grows. so with that being said it will be a bit harder for watering i think if i do it on a 12 hour flip or maybe im just not thinking outside the box enough

Water just before the flip.... room one gets water just before lights off, room to gets it right at lights on. With two flower rooms, you could be harvesting every 5 weeks. Not incredibly perpetual but my point is just that big rooms are easier to deal with. opening a billion tents over and over and over would piss me off.

Dialing in the Environment in 4 different tents in a single room is going to be very difficult in my opinion. The quest 205 will certainly get the main lung room to whatever humidity you want... but that does not mean by any means that the humidity inside all of the tents will be exactly the same. I would want much more control. Same thing with cooling.

Overall growing in tents sucks. why do you want 4 flower tents in 1 room vs just using the entire room as the grow space?

control of strains, i figured i could probably control the heat with the exhaust fan pressure as for humidity i was going to deal with a set figure. each tent will have a different strain, with that being said flower times will be different and the perpetual cycle might get messed up a bit i would think having them all in the same room. also it would divide my workload more equaly

If you really want control. you will need to setup each tent as its own room. with its own dehu, cooling etc.

You have a ton of space! just use it to make 2 flower rooms if you really need, and run them using a single AC unit cooling both rooms on opposite 12/12 timers

im sure you can make whatever you want work. you just need to evaluate your end goals to see if the method chosen will facilitate that. having 4 tents in 1 main room, sharing everything will give you mediocre results at best. Do it up and prove me wrong ;)

I agree. when you have space like that, tents are useless.
