7/20/23 - looked more closely at my two plants today and noticed a couple problem leaves. Can anyone please tell me what the issue is and what I need to fix it? Thanks in advance!

Pretty for your first gardening experience. Looks like thirps. BT proly wouldn't hurt. I'm gonna agree that the lack of nitrogen isn't helping. Have I missed what PH you're giving them? Could be nitrogen lock out.
She looks like she's ready to clone.
Bout a pound.
Keep up the good work.

How to get rid of thrips? Thanks!!
I hit them with my trifecta of diatomaceous earth, neem oil, and BT. Peroxide sprayed on top of the soil will kill pupae. I have only done that once, back when I overwatred and the bugs were at their worst. I mean I could see them flying around the bottom of the plant.

Thanks for all the info / feedback! Greatly appreciated. Just discovered that my wife already has two different solutions. Looks like both products get rid of the same pests. Any preference as to one of these products?

7/23/23 – Sprayed both plants w. Captain Jack’s. Wondering when I need to reapply (or if the one spraying wiped them out). Looked all over online and the label itself and still couldn’t figure it out.

You have to be sure to get the under side of the leaves good- if you can, carefully lay the plant on its side and spray the underside of the leaves really well

7/24/23 – In an attempt at LST, I bent the stems down a bit. Haven’t tied any of them down. Should I?

Also, I’ve seen a lot of vids / articles on lollipopping. Should I trim any of the lower branches off? Which leads me to wonder if I can try using the cuttings to clone new plants. Or is this just crazy talk?

Wondering about the switch from Veg to Bloom in an outdoor grow. Since it’s outdoors, I have no control over when the flip occurs, right? Just need to wait til there is less than 12 hours of sunlight. Looking at charts for N. VA, it looks like we’re not under 12 hours of sunlight til late September. So, just stay the course for another month or am I missing something?

OR

Have these two plants already started the switch from Veg to Flower?

8/14/23 - Once again, noticed issues w. a few of the leaves. Any ideas on what the problems are this time? Definitely looks different than when I had thrips or mites a few weeks back.

8/31/23 - Been having issues w. a few leaves on my outdoor grow plants. Any idea on what's causing this? Guessing some sort of deficiency. But of what? I've been giving them GeoFlora Veg and now Bloom. Starting to worry about the discoloration - pruned off the problem leaves yesterday and there are a couple more today.

Also, thoughts on using really strong black tea as a spray for insects? I've been told it works well and that the caffeine is deadly to the bugs.

Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated!!
