ok the sbsinthe that you are getting in the US is NOT fake. Lucid the most commonly sold absinthe in the US is s TRADITIONAL absinthe...it was based on a prebad absinthe chemically it is the same. the absinthe levels in prebad absinthe were not what people thought...the absinthe that they are making today is most cases are STRONGER than absinthe was orginally....
oh yea and if you want illigal absinthe in the US Buy absinthe online, Liqueurs de France, finest French and Swiss absinthes
