About to use chemicals... Maybe

Ok, I have what looks to be like thrips in my plants that are a little over 2 weeks old, and I'm about to use some chemical to kill all of them, I got Ortho: Orthenex, cause its endorsed by the American Rose Society and I figured Roses are all about Aroma... But has anyone used this chemical, does it kill the plants or take away taste or aroma at all??

Anyone know of a better chemical to use or a more organic way to get rid of thrips I would appreciate the info...
