i have a few questions first.

i am gunna order the Grodan rockwool 4x4x2.5. will that be good? after they are in those they would go to a pot with hydroton.

also there is a product called Grodan macro plugs. 1 inch. and i just wanted to make sure they go into the 4x4x2.5 cubes befor i order.

and as for nuts.......
what should i use? and do the gro and bloom go in always?
or only during there phases

Hey Kalium, if you give me a little bit of background on the type of systems you'll be using and whether or not you have a full understanding of ppm and pH values and I'd be glad to help you!

you should find a local hydro shop around you.....some things (i.e. rockwool.. grow plugs... drippers...nozzles..etc. are better to buy in store when you are hold everything in your hand to make sure everything fits together)

Cheers!!

rockwool starter plugs come in 2 sizes. Delta cubes (4x4) come with either size holes so you need to make sure the sizes match up when you order.

I really really dislike hydroton as it makes the pot unbalanced, you have a cube in the middle that retains water and pebbles around it which water washes over and thats it, so you either over saturate the root ball or undersaturate the clay pebbles

what would you recommend as an alternative to hydroton (in the pots with the rockwool cubes)
never used it but i hear coco works well... should sell it at your local hydro shop..

... i currently use 4 inch rw cubes and hydroton for my mothers...i guess it work well... i just really hate the residue it leaves behind... your grow table looks so nasty after it dries, and your res goes all red :S ...but dont get the wrong idea.. its not bad for your plant or anything.. i just dont like it... probably going to look for a new medium next time around but havnt really thought about it
