A64 / A20 Plant counts

The patient card can help you in many ways, seems like cheap insurance, you get to have 2 oz for medical purposes and perhaps another 1 for recreation. And the card may help if you get popped for DUID. Possibly increased plant count, what's not to like? Fear of having your name in the database is creepy, but if we can overwhelm the system with a million cards there is safety in numbers.
 
So the latest news is that A64 and A20 are both each their own independent thing.
That means you can have 6 plants for medical, and 6 plants for recreational.

At a recent assembly, Rob Corry asked 4 attorneys about the interpretation of the laws. Three of them Said its absolutely legal to have 6 for each purpose. The other said that it would be deemed legal if ever challenged.


This is nice and all, but I would like to see something more official published on it...
 
Between my GF and I, we have 48 plants recommended. And I have been told that each adult over 21 in a household can legaly have 6 more. But that doesn't mean I have fucking 60 plants growing in my basement, lol.

I have 6 plants flowering in a closet and I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with all that. I'll prob end up giving away most of the popcorn. lol.

The point is, if you know what your doing, even indoors, 1 "plant" can be up to 2lbs cured. If your looking for massive yields, instead of forcing more plants into a sog/whatever let your 6 spread out and veg longer, etc.

Unless ofcource your just out to make money, which is the only reason I see needing to know if its legal to grow that many plants for a single person.

Extended plant counts are illegal.
And to begin with.. You are not on topic.

Unfortunately, it might actually take someone being tried in court(or maybe not even make it to court) to actually get the plant count additive effect to be outright understood by everyone and written on paper..
If it was ever actually brought up in court, Anyone can clearly see that they are separate amendments with no synergistic effect.
A64 was NOT supposed to effect anything medical at all... this was a big part of the bill.

In reality you could just say(for example)...
These 6 high CBD Sour Tsunami are my medical strain...
These 6 are my recreational Blueberry strain...
Or just label your plants if they are more scattered.

People like Rob Correy gets their kicks from taking these types of trials... which is sorta shady... but very good for all of us in the long run.
They are pushing the envelope... and they like to make tons of money at the same time.


Anyways.. just bringing this stuff up because it was covered recently. Will let you guys know anything else..

Extended plant counts have come up in court.
The problem is the cops dismantle your grow and then months later a judge drops the charges, gives you your stuff back. Then you can sue the police.

I remember a case in Fort Collins where the guy had a shit ton of plants. The judge told the police to give him his gear back and apologize. They did not apologize.

Talk to a lawyer. Don't mess with your life by believing me or anyone on this site.
 
It's another grey area, and even the folks writing the laws and regs don't have answers. Unless you're clearly in compliance with the existing laws (ie., specifically spelled out in the statue), consulting a lawyer is probably best.

Increased plant counts are the way to go. If you have a good Dr they will appear in court to justify your medical reasons for reqiiring high counts. Jury's just dont wanna jail sick ppl. SO as long as no distribution charges can be proven the jury will generally go with not guilty. Then you get to sue police and likely win if they destroyed your plants / harvest by improper storage in evidence.

Good Dr is Cannaqual in Denver. $500 gets a 99.

We should organize, get a list of clarifications together and present them. I agree, I'd like to get this all ironed out. A20 and A64 are different laws, so each allows some plants, depending on your situation. How about growing under A64 for adults who are unable (transfer or assignment of growing rights), I have many questions I'd like to see answered.

Should we start a list?
 

  • FYI: The City of Denver is trying to limit the number of plants allowed Under A20 / A64 via zoning laws. The new amendment would limit you to 12 plants PER DWELLING, REGARDLESS.

    Section 5. Section 11.8.4.1 of the DZC is amended to allow for the growing of 6 marijuana plants per adult resident of a dwelling unit as well as six plants per patient registry card holder, provided no more than 12 plants may be grown per dwelling unit.

    12 plants? Really? More sour grapes from the prohibitionists.

So lets see.. Basically this is good news for only 1 type of grower, and bad news for anybody else?

Good
-If you are the only person in a house who wants to grow, you can grow 6 recreational and then 6 medical (if you have an active card). This makes for 12 total, which is also the new imposed limit.

Bad
-If there is anyone else in your "dwelling unit" who wants to grow. You have a hard limit of 12 plants per house.. cant cross that no matter what.

Is this right?

It looks like the PUBLIC COMMENT will be on 12/09/2013.

We need to be making calls, sending emails, etc.
