Hey dudes,

i will be heading to newport beach for vacation the first week of march. is there anywhere or anything in particular i absolutely need to see or do? i was planning on getting a medical rec. via p.o. box (another michigan friend of mine went 2 years ago and got his medical card using his hotel room address, is this still legal?) Any advice would be great friends!

no, you need a valid state ID to get a medical rec.

I think the id card situation was talked about a bit in the weed nerd thread a couple of weeks back. There's plenty of things to do while out here, it just depends on what your into. You can go an hour south to san diego and surf and party. Check out the flowrider in Mission Beach. You will be close to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm from Newport. You could go to the San Diego, LA, and Santa Barbara zoos. There are plenty of casinos within driving distance if you want to gamble. If you go about 2 hours north of Newport to Ventura, you can take a boat out to the Channel Islands and camp, hike, snorkle, and kayak on the islands. You can also take helicopter rides to check them out from above. Tons of things to do, get your card, get ripped, and check it out!

It depends... will you have a car? And, what's your budget like? You're in So Cal... there's a million thing to do! If you're stuck in Newport I suggest lunch at The Crab Cooker, then immediately after puffing a fatty on the sand. Or go to Balboa Fun Zone and hang. Go to the beach and people watch and drink beers in the many bars on the sand.

California...Newport? Here's some advice, just bring a super fat wallet buddy and it'll all be good.

California is the land of opportunity. Time it right and you can surf at the beach and snowboard an hour later. Ahh highschool days were a blast in cali.
