A Simple Way to Save Money

Write down all of your purchases. Today, while cleaning & detailing my car and organizing all my stuff (I keep a LOT of stuff in my car, most of it in the trunk, because I live in an oil field man camp during my work time and I usually sleep in my car on days off...when the weather's nice, I pop a tent). Anyway. today I just started writing down everything I buy. This helps you save money because it's sorta like spending cash vs using a credit card- most people are more conscience of how much cash they spend due to the psychological difference. Today I spent $61 and I consider that a LOT to spend in a day, but $24 was for gas (my car requires premium fuel and using lower octane will cause it to be less fuel efficient, and it's a Volvo so it'll last long anyway). Seeing on paper how much I spent total, has made me seek grocery fliers to get all the items on sale. I'm also shopping online for a good deal on tires...but with what it'd cost to ship em, IDK if i'll find a good deal...if anybody has any suggestions for tires, plz share... anyway, write down your purchases!

if you need it you'll buy it if you got it, no matter if you go over your daily budget or not. Gas is one of those things. You might as well fill up every time cause its not like it'll go to waste

on the contrary, the only time i ever crashed a car was on a full tank of gas. the $40 in the tank was probably the most valuable part of the car.

OP: you can always save on rent by living in your car at the mcdonalds parking lot.

Walmart will let you stay in their parking lot...I just foundout my library carries new releases for free, 3 at a time for 2 weeks. Pretty awesome
