Should have planted it in the middle of the pot, so you get an even root ball. But hey! We all start somewhere. Just keep reading and asking q's, with the help of ethis site there's no reason your grow should fail. Good luck

You know I was wondering that... the taproot was pretty long and curved so I tried my best. It's planted in a jiffy pot so it's supposed to degrade into the soil when I transplant it into a bigger pot which leads me to my next question... when should I put this pot into a bigger one? I'm not sure how the root is going right now but it was a few inches long when I first planted her.

How's it looking? I turned the light on Election day (nov. 6th) and though it seems to be a bit tall and goofy looking I'd say she's gotten pretty mature in just two days... she really wants to live and I will do everything I can to help with that

Edit: two of the pics are on day 1, the other two were taken tonight. Sorry about that

sorry, but it looks like she got kicked to the curb
That's what everyone said when she was a seed... don't bother germing her they said, PLANT HER IN THE MIDDLE, they said... increase the humidity, they screamed... and yet the will to live is stronger than all naysayers, ya'see?????? WE SEE!!!

So far... she's got a weird bend in her stalk though, hoping that straightens out. I propped her up with the handle on the spray bottle.

I've had to prop up some babies...it doesn't mean a thing. In a few days she'll straighten up and the stalk will thicken. I took the advice of a wise sage here and use a paper clip unbent except for the last, smallest bend, and then turn the "hook" so that it's horizontal. I then use that to cradle the stalk and push the end into the medium.
