A Quick Light Question.

Hello friends,

I am about to start my first grow and am a little confuse on the lights. I was reading up on HPS lights and how they're good and all but I cant seem to find a lamp of some sort that will power one. I am also a little confused with how the ballast works and all that too.. I have a 100w HPS light and tried plugging it into a regular lamp and no luck. So if someone could help me here to get on the right track it would be greatly appreciated.

a ballast is what powers your light... Ballast plugs into wall, light plugs into ballast. I don't know exactly what it does, but it converts the energy to be able to power your light.

You will need a 100watt ballast and a shielded socket set & cord that plugs into the ballast which will power up your HPS. But check out htgsupply on line. Lots of happy campers here and they do provide good support.. and their prices are hard to beat..
