A question about medical marijuana laws in california

I have been told on this website that you can have 6 full grown or 12 immature plants. If you have someone who is a medical marijuana patient (me) and I am currently growing more than 12 but they are small and some are auto flowers. If my buddy buys more seeds and gives them to me and I plant more plants in my back yard will I get in trouble if I say he lives at my house. My neighbor is an ATF agent and I doubt she would call the cops but if she does I want to make sure I am with in my legal limits. So if the cops knock on my door with a warrant and I have more than 12 plants can I say that my buddy lives at my residence too and we are growing together. Will they check into this because he really lives in an apartment but its his girlfriend pays for it.

What is the worst they can do?
Fines?
Take away my plants?
Take them saying they are going to investigate it and then never call me back nor give me my plants back?
Can I say that my buddy lives at my residence too. Even though my house is under my parents name. and they currently live there.
Are there any laws against people living together and growing together?
Would the cops even come if she called them because she is a alcohol tobacco and fire arms agent so why the fuck would she know anyone who could effectively stop my grow?

Yes I know there are many questions, but the best light in my yard is right next to her window and if she has not seen them yet then she does not have a clue about marijuana and any day know I feel the police or dea are gonna be knocking at my door.

if anyone is wondering why I am living at my parents and growing, well that is because I am 20 and they are pretty much hippies with good jobs. Hope this helps you guys successfully answer my question LOL. Thanks!

Really the only question I care about being answered is; can I say that my buddy lives with me even though he lives in an apartment and still keep my plants. I mean there is no way anyone can steal them because I have 3 pitbulls and a really cute lab (meaning the shit head kids on my street). Which the pitbulls have to stay outside at night because they are my dogs and the lab is my parents and the pitbulls attack the lab for some reason.

Also my sister has a kid (hes like 3) and she lives in china, but will be visiting soon. Are there any laws against growing near or around children? (she will be gone by the time they start to flower)
ALSO DONT SAY I SHOULD NOT HAVE PITBULLS AROUND KIDS! THEY ARE RATED AS THE SECOND MOST LOYAL DOGS TO THERE OWNERS, RIGHT AFTER GOLDEN RETREAVERS. (everytime my nephew is her they lick his face and love him way more than the lab does!)

Please help!
THANKS!

Before you started growing you should've looked into what you can and can't do. If the DEA (not the police) come knocking on your door, its serious. Your local cops won't be the ones taking on the case, it will be the federal government. Yes, they will look into him living there unless you're his caregiver. And if you do get busted, your parents will go down with you because the property is in there name. All in all, grow within what the limit of your state is because the consequences are not worth a few extra plants.

Alright well I just feel that the DEA has bigger fish on it plate than my small time grow in my backyard. You know? I will correct the number of my plants though to 12 and hopefully give a few to my buddy for safe keeping once they grow to the size that defines 6 plants rather than 12. Anyways... Can I apply for a caregivers license with this? http://www.cdph.ca.gov/pubsforms/forms/CtrldForms/cdph9042.pdf ?????
I know only 1 person who has cancer and has a license, she uses a medicinal delivery service though... Any answers would help.

Also the number of helicopters that fly over my house is dramatically increased. Not nice helicopters but those one you can rent. Like the small ones, not the news ones. Wtf is this?

If I can apply for a caregivers license I will, but in the mean time I am going to hide some of my plants on the hill side, Farrrrrr farrrr away from my house, and let mother nature take over. When i think they will be flowering I will start to give them nutes and water, but until them they will be on their own. I really want to see if a pot plant can live in this climate with the limited amount of water we get in california. Especially where I live.

They don't. A lot of personal growers get busted because of complaints. If I were you, and growing medically, I would post a copy of my MMJ license and papers in the garden so if anyone does get a little peek, they will know that its a medical grow and not some kid trying to grow some free weed.

Alright well this is good to know. I will print out a few copies and place them around my plants. My Armenian neighbors next to me dont give a shit because they see me blowing bong loads of smoke out my window and they wave and smile and ask me how my day is going, so I am really only having a problem with the lady. LOL the funny part is if you were to look at my neighbors houses and my house from the street, their houses look like the grow houses. My armenian neighbors all drive mercedes and i never see them ever go to work lol.
Anyways wtf defines a mature plants. if its flowering, if its over a certain height, if its showing signs of sex? And how would my neighbor know what the difference is?

I mean I have gardeners so i would think she would think I am doing it legally if my freaking gardeners are always doing lawn work around my plants... I mean this stuff is common sense. I will take the advice you have given me and I will shorten my number of plants to maybe 11 just in case. And then when they mature I feel like the autoflowers will almost be done and the others will just be starting to flower... I feel like i have timed it out perfect. I just need to know the difference between a mature an immature plant (well atleast I think I know), I just want to know if the state ever defined that part.

Thanks!
