A noobs LST.

Well I really want to lst my plant after topping a couple times, I had attempted to 5 days ago, but I had snapped a top off. Now I am rather nervous, and am just curious how far down im required to pull the top down, and was wondering if i lst a branch will it grow upwards into a top? Im limited on space and am trying to have the most effecient grow as possible, im roughly 26 days into veg. Would also like to be able to give life to the underneath for it is a rather bushy sob. Last pic is where I had broken one of the main tops :(

Looks a little short for lst Ideally you want tbe head to face downward 180degrees and it will grow n u turn back toward light. That short I would super crop to get some initial extra buds going. Looks like u did an ub topping on it. Your broken head will split into two more.

lol the idea of supercropping at this age has me super paranoid, can we get some more opinions please bongsmilie
and where I had broken the top off, is the black dot to the right of the top that is clearly broken, it more or less popped out of that corner it rests in, assuming i had to much tension on it pullilng it directly down

All my plants get cropped early then top 5th node then I continually crop over and over I do it to keep tops growing as close to even as I can while lsting I build wooded frames that I tie off of

your plant is young and will continue to grow and you should continue to train as such but without the snapping off part. looks good. nice start.

Don't be nervous, continue to do what you're doing. So you broke a part off... it's part of the early experience pain, but trust me, as you learn, you'll realize that it isn't a problem :)

Good job.

I lst'ed the shit out of all my plants this grow due to temporary conditions and I finally got the barrel bush plants I have always wanted...First time doing it this hardcore, before I just tied branches or used a hoop. I have grown for a few years not doing lst (thinking I had plenty of room...so what was the point)...boy I was mistaken.

..Not now. I love it, I have so much more room to work with and lots more bang for my lights. You can make it as complicated and time consuming as you want it to be. As far as I can tell, as long as you don't snap the stem lst training can be used all through grow and flower. If the stem is pliable its all good. : )

Try to get everything as horizontal as you can get it and see how it goes. What's your timetable, what's your goal? Might help figure out how you want to go about things.

Mine I had pulled over 90 degrees at about the 3rd node towards the pot, then followed the pot along horizontally. When I switched to 12/12 the plants were about 6 inches from top of pot too top of plant (on vortex and a land strain nepalese sativa mind you :fire:, plants that normally grow to 5-6 feet tall!). You do have to trim and fold the fans pretty heavy to keep the bud sites in the light but its not big deal. I am at 2 weeks into bloom and they are about 2 feet tall. Colas everywhere, all those sucker branches are colas now without topping once. I love it.
