New place, new grow room. Things are still coming together as I just put this up in the last couple of weeks with my spare time. So bear with me if shit isn't perfect to start with :blsmoke:

I converted a 6x7x8 walk in closet into my flower room. I took a portion of a closet in the next room to house mothers and clones as well as a bit of veg space. Everything I used were pieces I already had on hand.. The only fresh items are the 8" centrifugal blower and can 75 filter. The flower room is sweet, simple and effective. Running 2x 430w HPS bulbs, one in an open relfector and a Hydrofarm Daystar housing the other. Just how it went. I didn't see the need in spending money on another enclosed hood with the amount of air I'm moving in the small room. There's give or take 750cfm pulling air out, using passive intake. I've got a 10"x8" stack boot(a "square to round duct reducer" if you don't have an idea)with an 8" damper for intake. Negative pressure pulls the metal flap open when the fan is on, stays closed when no air is moving. The incoming fresh air is pulled through a HEPA style furnace filter. I don't go for the cheapie woven fiber furnace filters; those never work well I always end up with dust all over my grow(and who knows what else). The whole deal is vented quietly and stealthily under the bathroom sink in the adjoining room, no light, no smell. The intake is tucked behind a dresser near there.
For a few details : I sound proofed everything pretty well with some cheap sound foam. The fan is wrapped and the back wall is covered to deaden noise to my neighbor, it all works like a charm. The interior of the bathroom cabinet is also covered as well. I'll be tacking up some black/white film over the foam on the back wall to gain back some relfectivity and make it look better :-D. I shot some expanding foam in the gap around the exhaust duct going through the wall to stop vibrations from traveling through the building. The fan is also sitting on thick rubber feet I cut from tractor tire. Lights on chains attached to rubberized hooks, ratchet straps holding the can filter. I built a simple frame out of 2x4 and secured that to a sheet of plywood cut to size and placed on the floor, then wrapped with 6mil visqueen on the bottom, 6mil black/white film white side up on top. I wanted no/very little mounting of stuff in there so that's where the frame idea came about. Now I can hang whatever I want with no impact on the building. I've got a 34" blue dream mother and a 22" bubblelicious mother that I flipped threw into the flowering room to get a couple of monsters to kick this room off with.. I'll be adding a couple every few weeks as I veg more clones. I want to stick with 8-10 total flowering at a given time. The other areas are fairly boring right now, with only 2 clones near finished rooting and a seedling in the clone spot and one clone vegging out in the mother area.

Do you see an intake? :-D
