I am not so sure private school is the way to go either. All teachers seem to want is to put the kids on ritalen. Teachers are afraid to tell the kids to shut the fuck up and sit their asses down and pay attention. This kindler gentler society that we live in now is doing nothing but dumbing everyone down so that we dont need to think for ourselves. Just drug everyone. Sure, thats the ticket. Whatever happened to good old fashioned discipline?

I had a teacher demand that I put my child on ritalen. Needless to say that did not go very far when I asked if she needed me to come to class and sit and tell my daughter to sit her ass down when she got restless. I just matter of factly asked the teacher if she needed me to come and do her job for her.

No, I think it goes a little deeper than that. I must admit when I was in school I had some excellent teachers that made us learn. Now, with the general public wanting to sue everyone over anything thats where it begins. The teachers in some cases cant take certain things into their own hands for the fear of being fired or sued for making little Debbie cry because someone told her to be quiet, sit down and pay attention. I dont totally blame the teachers. But it would be nice for more to let some of these kids know that they are not the boss and they are far from being in charge. My tax dollars pay these teachers to teach and to be in control of their classroom, I expect them to do that. If they have to hurt my child feelings in the process, oh well, they will get the hell over it.

Uf, American private schooling is pretty terrible. I'd much rather put my kids through public school. My girlfriend went through a private highschool and she just now (a junior in college) has learned the capital of every state because of me. Apparently they did not approach American federal government, evolution, driver's ed, sex ed, or most sciences in her private school.
No joke, when I first met the girl she could not tell me which one was more north: British Columbia or Oregon. Private schools are ridiculous.
On a side note, I just sent the school board a bill. Over the last 2 weeks the bus has not showed up to pick my son up 3 times. So, I feel as if I am being generous and giving the benefit of the doubt and only billing them once. I sent them a bill for a 100 bucks.
My taxes pay to run those buses to come pick up my kids. The bus did not show. So I had to take time off of work, drive all the way back home pick him up and drive him across town to his school and then drive all the way back to work. So, I sent them a bill, curious as to what they say. I have been becoming a thorn in the school boards side here lately and this just adds to it. I love fucking with the man.
