A more efficient way to make hash??

OK, so recently i have been experimenting and making my own hash, and im just wondering if there are any tips or improvements that i could make to increase the yield.

the way i am currently making hash is as follows
1) Store pot in kief box, collect kief for 3 days
2) grind bud up, get kief put into a cylinder container.
3) shooting pure butane through the container, having it soak through the buds and being filtered by a screen and collecting on a glass plate
4) let all the butane evaporate, scrape glass, ball up the gooey hash
5) roll the gooey hash mixture around in my kief box ( i do this because if i dont the hash is way to sticky and gets stuck to everything, and this makes it so atleast i can move it )
6) let it sit for an hour or so to make sure all the butane evaporated, and its ready to smoke

so any suggestions that could help me make more hash? usually about 6 or 7 grams of pot gets me around 1.7grams of hash (already rolled in kief)

I use the butane method. I put 5 ounces of shake in my tube and get about 5 grams out. Its really smooth. Honey oil is the best.

how big is your extractor i built one that is lie 1 ft long and made of 3 inch pvp and put lik ea qp at least prolly mre and ran 8 bottles of butane through it and only got like 2gs if even that it completetly wasnt worth the cost in butane i was talking with someone about it they said they heard that pure oxygen works better than butane and that nitrous works better than o2 but i dont know how true that is cuz this guy likes to think he knows alot when he doesnt really you might try either of those gases instead of butane

well i simply took a turkey baster, cut off the ball, put a screen there and filled it with pot, only takes about 6grams to fill, shoot the butane through the small end, last time i used 4, 42gram cans and got about 1.6g of hash

Using butane is for making oil. The way it works has to do with the liquid gas. The process is the same thing they do to remove caffeine from coffee. Im sure coffee co. dont use butane. I would think any gas you can (freeze), would work. Butane is much easier to get than liquid oxygen, or nitrogen. For a cleaner taste after you collect the oil cut it down with some 90% isopropanol. Allow a couple of days for the alcohol to evaporate, the oil is much cleaner tasting.

If you want more yield my best suggestion would be bubble bags/ice-o-lators. When you do the butane thing you are turning it into oil thats why it is so sticky like that. thats not hash anymore. Hash is pretty much just compressed kief,nothing more nuthing less.

The yield also depends on how much thc/crystals are on your leaves/shake too because if there barely any thing your goin to get barely anything. if you have 200gr. of leaves you should be able to get between 6-10gr. hash from water extraction technique, depending on quality of leaves of course. I think from this technique you get the most and the purest of hash.

But that is pretty nuts though mixing your oil with your kief, must be fuckin awesome! But as I said again when you do the butane extraction thing you are turning your hash/kief into oil. Hash should not be a gooey substance unless its just come out of a bubble bag and waiting to dry or its honey oil.
