A little effort goes a long way

Not to come off like a prick but... This is a great site to learn everything you need to grow, hell this is where I learned all I know. Thing is, I see the same questions over and over. I'm not saying not to ask, just look around here and odds are you'll find the answer to your question. After google and searching around here a little, if you don't find your answer, then start a thread. Sex, lights, nutes, time cycles, best soils, and so on. Please just put in a little effort first. If I ain't smoking it, I don't wanna grow it. I bet 90% of all newbie questions can be answered here https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/1326-101-already-asked-questions.html. Alot of us like to help people but can only answer the same question so many times.

i have spent a few years studying growing myself. and still learn new things. i just stumbled upon this site 1 day while looking at pics of colas. but i do agree a little search and study is great for new growers and chances are most questions they have, the answers are here somewhere

Make some threads about growing with nice colourfull pics and thrash them all around the problem forums then there will be more knowledge for new growers, answering questions is good but good grow threads are better with what your asking, that grow sticky is outdated for todays modern closet grower, new stickies would help them a lot more, some of those pics look like there from the 1950's in some of them guides!lol! I bet even my dad used them when they were first editions when he was a lad. Peace

Thing is I find that while the question is the same or similar, the ensuing discussion will always be slightly different and entertaining itself.

They seemed to help me quite a bit and I veg in a closet. It's just when the same questions keep getting asked you end with a too many cooks in the kitchen situation. You end up with so many different answers you don't know what is what. I was just using the 101 already asked questions as an example. Like I said I'm not trying to come off as a prick, just tired of seeing week old plants and people are asking you what sex it is. People asking what kind of soil to use. What kind of lights to buy. What light schedule do I use. The most basic getting started questions have been answered 101 times.

Yep i agree, sometimes you give some advice and they dont stop with the questions then the advice is go read threads and study up.

Those easy questions make me look and feel good though, its the hard questions i dont like!lol!

If you are asking what sex it is at week 1 then quite obviously yes you need to do at least some basic reading because you probably havent asking questions like that. You know it will never end though, all the repeated questions! Peace
