a GOOD GROWER KNOW his plants

Hi,

i have a question according to the ec level:

people say that a good grower know his plants. i have experienced that, when i mix a new nutrient solution, my plants react in two ways:

  1. when the ec level of the fresh nutrient solution is ABOVE 1.8, the plants will consume more water and less nutrients, letting the ec of the solution RISE
  2. when the ec level of the fresh nutrient solution is LESS than 1.8, the plants will consume more nutrients, letting the ec of the solution FALL

the pH of the solution reacts in a same way: when the ec rises, the pH falls. When the ec falls, the pH rises.

why do my plants behave this way?

you after a gold sticker or an A* for effort???
Its not your plants its ballance if you say you know your plants then you should have guessed 1.8 is that given nutes best...

and a good grower knows now matter how much he knows his plants, nature proves them wrong

ok, i have forgotten to tell:

when i put the ec of the fresh nutrient solution exactly at 1.8, it is NOT stable. sometimes the plants behave like discribed in 1. and sometimes like in 2.

so there ist no balance at level 1.8

thats why i don´t understand my plants....
