This is now my fourth post on this forum and im starting to get pissed. Apparently i was wrong in choosing this forum to join? Nobody seems to know any answers or would just rather ignore me. Real friendly community this is... I have posted the same thing for the third freaking time and had mutliple views, yet i seem to be ignored when the newer posts have already been replied to several times. This is why i was sooo hesitant to join any sort of forum to begin with. I even said so in my intro post under the newbie section. Do you all think your too good to help a fellow toker out? or maybe too touchy of a subject? Im just trying to save some money in this weak economy by growing my own greens. Here is my last attempt to get my reasonable questions answered...:cuss::mad:

Hello everyone, this is only my FOURTH post on this forum so please forgive my improper vocabulary usage in regards to the plant part identification...
I noticed the distance from the small round leaves on two of my new seedlings, are different from the next new set of actual leaves growing off the main stem (the internode?). Could this be because of the distance i keep my seedlings from my light? or possibly just genetics? I am using a CFL system that i fabricated and the lights are currently about 3-5 inches from the plants. The whole system is setup in a reasonably reflective white paintjob inside of a closet. I am well aware of the heat issue but i can assure you that the plants will not burn unless you want to stand there for a long time and hold them by hand. Its extremely hot here all the time so the room temp is approx 79-84F for 24 hours with two Oscillating Circular Fans (6in & 12in). I placed a bowl of water underneath the 6in fan in order to cool the air it blows onto the plants and hopefully add a slight bit of humidity. I think i can honestly say there is not a whole lot of humidity in the room. But i do cover the new seedlings with a clear bag and one hole punch to keep the freshest sprouts in an adequate environment. Im home most of the time, so i leave the door open while i am here to circulate fresh air and expel the hot. The only time the door is closed, is when i leave or go to sleep.
My other inquiry is about the IR (InfraRed) signature of a CFL system. Would a grow setup with anywhere from 5-12 CFLs be as detectable as HPS or MH lights? The "ghetto bird" as we call it; flies all over the city and I wanna be sure that their FLIR camera wont pickup my IR signature using CFL setup. Would Panda pad lining work to reflect outside IR detection? or would it be too thick for such a hot place? I know there is always the mylar option... Thanks for any help.
TLDR :hump:

I would think that the first week into the seedlings life would take most of it's energy from the cotyledons (the first set of leaves; the round ones). After that, you will notice that the next set of leaves will be way closer to the first set of leaves than the soil to the first set. This happens to all cannabis plants, no matter if the light is far or close. Of course, if your light is further away, you will notice a little more stretching of the internode as photosynthesis is starting to occur on a larger scale due to more light coverage area. Also, the closer your lights, the less your plant will grow vertically. When the lights go off, this is when your plant will get taller. In minimal light conditions, your plant will stretch and eventually it will stretch so much that your main stemm will not have the strength to support itself. I'm not sure if this answers what you are trying to ask but hey, at least I tried. :peace:
P.S. Post some pictures and use your paint program to point out your points of interest with captions. Good luck and smoke a little more!

i think you went a bit overboard...

maybe your questions are retarded and can easily be answered by using the search. you wrote a huge paragraph asking about the stretching of your seedlings and if CFLs could be detected by FLIR and IR...

RIU has always been extremely helpful for anyone with real questions.

Excuse me for not being perfect. The key word was "URGENCY" when i created the post. Someone please just lock or erase this whole post already! Im sorry for ever asking any questions. I thought that was what forums are for anyway...asking questions! Sure some people dont bother making a single search on their subject matter, but i happen to be a knowledge junkie. And i did do a lot of research and those were the only two questions i had left out of the whole list. This bickering between members and constant bombardment on how stupid i am and these "noob" questions are getting old. Some people arent afraid to ask for a lil help, no matter what the circumstances. Thats how we all live, learn and evolve together. You can either stay behind with the rest of the sheep by not asking questions or be a leader into the future because you chose to learn more. Thank You.
Now, can someone please just ERASE or LOCK this damn post already?!? It was a mistake and i dont want to see people fighting anymore. All this negativity is not what the herb is all about! "if you cant get along; take a hit from the bong"

"URGENCY" is when you have a knife in your chest and blood is pumping out real fast.

"URGENCY" is when you are a lil boy and have to make wee wee and you yell for dad to stop the car.

"URGENCY" is when you are caught fondling fdd's wife and need to get lost in a hurry.

You are lucky fdd has been watching this post otherwise I would have risked getting dinged just to flame your retarded ass.

Now suck it up and deal with it or I'll feel the "URGENCY" to smack you around with a bit of trout :hump::blsmoke:
