Your not having much luck this past month or so mate.

I chopped the bb X white shark last week. She struggled the whole way through flowering. Popcorn sized buds, not much smell average resin coverage. I got just under 7oz from it. It is still way above average smoke wise though! I smoked the scraping from the pruners and it fucked me up. I wasn't expecting her to be so potent!! Will put some pics up later on.
Nah man, this heat really messed with them this year! I have to either find a way of cooling them or dont grow in summer ha ha! Ah well, fingers crossed the outdoor girls keep going for me :)

Man that sucks about the blue shark, the ones I grew out (and the one outdoors currently) have always produced oretty soild yields, sorry to hear yours didnt turn out so well mate. Im glad to hear the smoke is good though, she has a fair whack to her!!

She has got a good whack to her mate. I was expecting to much considering the stress it was going through, but I am pretty happy with the 7oz I got in the end.

That's awesome mate, I'm glad to hear it still turned out ok! That whack is definitely a good one, I'm looking forward to trying mine when it's done too!!

Yeah things went pear shaped pretty bad hey, my grow box just got way too hot so had to pull the girls in there, some 2 weeks early! The outdoor gals are going very nice though, fading a bit earlier than I'd liked but hey, there is some lovely frost on them right now and they still have a month or so to fatten up :)
I just got back from 4 days away and the damn pump didnt come on for my cuttings and seedlings so the cuttings look cactus...the seedlings dont look too bad, shouldn't had fed them the compost tea before going though, came back to some nute burn!!
Oh no what a bummer bro! I bet you'll have some good smoke even pulling them early, such a bummer the pump didn't come on for the clones! What happened there? Did the timer malfunction? I've been through a bunch of timers for water pumps, some aren't made use with timers and short out, usually all the manual timers with the little things you have to flip for the on/off times work fine but digital timers always break, I've only found one that works and doesn't short out after a week and its this one

Hey man, so sorry for the late reply, for some reason i'm not getting notifications for my thread :(
I dunno what happened bro, I think I may have forgotten to set it to 'auto' so just stayed off. The luck was with me though, I nursed them all back to some health. I trimmed them back and babied them and they slowly picked back up :-D they are all under the LED now so we'll see how they go! Still bloody hot though, still hitting 36 degrees in the box but there is heaps of air movement this time! Should start to cool down soon hopefully!

Spot on about digital trimmers being unreliable. I've had many issues in the past.
It's funny actually, the digi's are the only ones for me that haven't fucked out ha ha. Pop timers have done me very well over the years though!

I thought I should do a final update, even though they didn't look to good. The quality is there for sure, just the heat screwed with things pretty badly. I had to go away for a few days so decided to chop them all. Notably the blue lime pie, platinum delights #1 and the powernap didn't seem to lose too much frost. So I apologise for how terrible they came out! I at least kept a few clones so will be running them under the LED. Will start another journal if they come along ok, it is still very hot here at the moment.

Here's some pics for day 60 when I chopped.

man these types from US & europe really suffer with the extremes we have here, im trying to acclimatize certain types by crossing ones that are resistant to our wonderful balmy long summers cos the losses are so great when we have heatwaves, with the fat leaf indicas grown outdoors its so important to not let them get blasted by the hot wind, so im aiming at indica/sativa crosses so the leaves are not so wide

Agreed man, these blueberry crosses do very well outdoors, never let me down. The blueberry shiva skunk I love the most, has a super sweet flavour and super potent! The blueberry widows are frosty as hell though so should give me some good sativa!

It's always s good mix bro, any of the old school strains usually are. Give it a go man and see how it works out :) I may have a couple spare if you want to try it?

I been putting alot of different strains and breeders to the test outdoors here and some certainly do better than others.
I think it's a good way to test them actually, if they can take a variable environment outside, in a controlled environment they should do well.

Looking good Easty. Does your blue shiva have the purple pistils?

My big blue is looking good. A few leaves yellowing off a bit. But it is starting to get a extremely strong berry smell to it!! Resin coverage is also coming along. I always seem to migrate to it whenever I am stuffing around outside!
