A decent vape pen for under $150--please help

As far as a vaporizer, my Arizer Solo is top notch in vapor quality. I personally believe it to be more effective than my Pax 2, although the Pax 2 has plenty going for it in its own right. The solo uses less material to achieve the same overall effect than the Pax 2, and the price point has been dropping since the release of the Pax 2 and the Arizer Air. The battery lasts all day use to keep me medicated on the go with a full charge, during which I'll use no more than a gram (by myself) and I've got a considerable tolerance.The glass pathway is also a big winner in my book.

If you're looking for a "vape pen" for concentrates, I've just recently purchased the Puffco Pro Vape Pen. This thing is awesome! Stealth? Not a problem. I've used it while grocery shopping at Wal-Mart and in the building between classes at school. No one knows the difference since it looks like every other e-cig on the market, and the smell dissipates in a second or two. Picked it up for $70 at the dispensary. Great for wax, bho, shatter, whatever you like and has a .3 gram capacity; larger than most w/ ceramic oven. Havent cleaned it yet, but no complaints at all.

No flowers, just regular dry herbs.

As I said, the cost is the real filter here. I've read good reviews of some pens but I can't afford any of them.

Sorry, I'm new to this... I don't know the difference between dry herbs and concentrates. I don't smoke tobacco if that's what it means. Would Puffco work with dry herbs?

IMO / IME the Arizer Solo would be a decent option then, or maybe the Arizer Air since from what I understand it is essentially a smaller design of the Solo. The packaging and marketing from the manufacturer states its intended use is herbal aroma therapy, with no reference whatsoever to the singular herb I intend to use in it.

Arizers are unaffordable to me. My limit is $100-130 or so.

OK, I also misunderstood what flower means. Sigh. Dry herbs/flower.

Yes, I agree about the Solo. It is a great unit, really pretty efficient and 7 temp settings to suit your needs. Low temp for flavor, high temp for relaxation. They are available on ebay and many other places for $130 or less also.

Why doesn't anyone ever mention the IMAG+??? It's about the only pen vape that truly vaporizes flowers with zero combustion. It's about the size of a cigar and i only paid $55 during a promotional period for the ceramic version from puffitup. It works awesome. There are a couple things I would change, but as far as pen vapes go, it's top tier. Great flavor, draw, and with just a small mod (I added a metal screen at the top of the filling chamber to make sure no dry herb makes it into the mouthpiece $0.25) it's one of best vapes i've used. check it out for yourself.

That's a good call, I've been meaning to try one. It does have a very nice price point, and I've heard from others it is a true vaporizer.

So it seems like the Arizer Solo and this are the new top contenders.

I haven't done much more than a glance at the IMAG, but for strictly portability reasons alone, I'd say the IMAG,..

I don't own one, and I love my Arizer Solo, but the IMAG has the advantage of preloading the chamber (I assume by its appearance) whereas the Solo is loaded into the glass pipe first, then inserted into the heating element, meaning you're not likely to stuff it in your pocket for fear of the pipe coming out and material spilling in your pocket. 2nd, its appearance vs the Solo; it looks more like a e-cig or similar device, and the Solo stands out - Glass pipe metallic glowing juicebox?? definitely not stealthy.

Now that I'm looking at it..from your link,

The price is significantly lower than the Solo, and (my pet peev on portable electronics..) it's got a micro USB port for charging. The Solo doesn't have the advantage of a "standardized" plug.

If I hadn't just bought my Pax 2 for a stealthier option.... could've potentially saved $200 though I like to research the crap out of anything that costs more than $20 before I commit

Ceramic seems to be the more popular option with most devices of this nature, though my only ceramic heating element is in my Puffco Pro and it doesn't quite apply

my only worry is warranty. I really wish IMAG offered it for free. I haven't seen that option, although I haven't tried Ebay for that yet.

Agreed COMPLETELY. in the end, its usually warranty coverage that wins me over.. hence the pricey Pax 2 in my posession; 10 year coverage, or the Solo's excellent heating element coverage..
