A challenging Question for Outdoor/Gorilla Growers...

Here's a challenge for you experienced Outdoor/Gorilla Growers -

A theoretical question... to possibly help new gorilla growers, and one I've not seen answered in any grow books or posts I've run across.

The criteria...

You have a remote outdoor grow that can't be accessed very often, that you started from seed (mid-april, using the upper midwest of the US as the default location).

You've planted several strains, with estimated harvests dates ranging from the late Sept. to mid Oct.

You only get to visit your grow once between planting and harvest to identify/remove the males.

Outdoor growers, this is your challenge, what date do you pick to go identify and remove the males, and why did you pick that particular date?

2 weeks after the days start to get shorter, thats when things typically begin to flower/bud. In the northern hemisphere the days get shorter from June to December, in the southern hemisphere they get shorter from December to June.

i would probably go in mid july...but you have to be able to get there more often than that...july and august is hot and you will need to supplement the rain a few times to keep them alive...even if you add water crystals...but by mid july all plants should be showing and the pollen sacs are not open yet.

Is this one of them trick questions? Cause an experianced grower can tell what sex a plant is before transplant into the ground. You start the seeds in beginning of april I can tell what they are easily come end of may. So my answer is you go out 2 weeks after solstice.

I would choose this date because an experianced grower will know right off the bat if the plant is male or female without flowering even being started so I would basically just go back to throw down some hard core nutes days before pre-flower.

p.s. thanks for a new question..not many new ones around here.

But really you can go out anytime after your plants are about 2 months old and sex em. So another answer is "whenever I want". And I would want to bring some time realese nutes and insecticide when I go.
