^^this^^ @ what Rocket said, but then start factoring in variables as mentioned up above. Things like lights, fans and so on all add heat.
The room your tent is in is the “lung room”. If your tent is running hot, your central AC, if that’s your primary means of cooling the tent, needs to cool the lung room to offset the temps. Exhausting in the same room just circulates the “heat”. Exhaust it elsewhere if needed to help balance things out.
For my situation, my central AC is enough to keep my temps in check. I don’t run crazy wattage nor run crazy amounts of plants. I’m also running LED, which helps keep heat down. If anything, I use my slim ass oil filled heater to raise temps a bit.
